How to configure the game.

Quake 4 mod

If you have a good pc and want to run quake 4 smoothly this is for you.

1) Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)>Steam>SteamApps>common>Quake4>q4base" and find Quake4Config.cfg

you can use Notepad++ or any other similar program and now you need to change the values just like below.

2) If you don't have an account in nexusmod you need to create one before you download the file.

"THE QUAKE 4 TWEAKER"

This mod allows you to change the FPS limit to above 60, fix texture issues on modern hardware, adjust the despawn time of corpses, change the FOV, skip intro videos and force custom display resolutions.

3) Copy the flies in C:\Program Files (x86)>Steam>SteamApps>common>Quake4

4) run as admin "THE QUAKE 4 TWEAKER" configure the tool as your preference save and close the program.

5) now run the game

has THE QUAKE 4 TWEAKER been rested lately? i read on another post that it no longer works after a patch in 2023
