Helpful Info

Fast Travel: You can only fast travel to the levels you have completed or started.

Talk to the cats: they give you quests to complete & give you rewards for completing them. They also give you access to some areas if you give them the right item.

Metal Detector: Make sure your sound is on to hear it ping when you are close to nuts & bolts!

Baset's Crystal In the tavern basement sub area on the table in the middle of the room (near where you enter). Use it in the Egypt sub area (there's an outline above the main cat) you unlocked with the Eye of Ra and talk to the cat to get a potion to turn rats into cats - needed for the tavern sub basement completion.

I have touched all of the cats that talk more than twice, I have clicked on all of the cats, and tools that are required and I am still stuck in the lab trying to click on the mice. What else do I need to do in order to get the mice to turn into cats, so I can click on the cats and move forward? It getting frustrating and I need help.

I am afraid I scrolled past believing that the information I sought would be located under each respective level’s section. Fr tho: I admit I made an oopsie – a mistake I did realize after I commented – but I thought maybe if someone else like me read too fast I could leave it up as a reminder. Maybe it was an unnecessary gesture, but not one I expected to be raked over the coals for. If my comment seemed like an insult to all the hard work you put into making this helpful guide then I am sorry. You are an absolute G for making the guide when you didn't have to and received no reward for doing so.

You need to find all mice in the tavern basement sub area & turn them into cats & then talk to the cat there that will then give you the detector.

My suggestion would be to reset the game & then going & doing what you need to do to grab it. PLEASE NOTE that resetting the game should not reset the achieves you have already gotten.

I have finished the whole game: all cats, nuts and bolts, and quests. I have been back to every guide cat multiple times. But I never got the metal detector. Every level is 100% so there's nothing left to do. Did I do it out of order so that I didn't get the metal detector? It is keeping me from also getting the perfect completion.

I guess you completely overlooked the HELPFUL INFO section of this guide where it is clearly shown as well as stated that this is the case TWICE in visual & written form....

To those who are struggling to get the 100% complete achievement, make sure to talk to every cat once you finish their tasks because even if you find all the artifacts some things won't become accessible until you talk to them. This is how I discovered I was missing a whole room in Greece.

Thanks Corvus! I am glad you found the control room & bedroom.... most seem to have trouble with the bedroom, usually finding the card to unlock the door.
