Error Types 🔽
1. • Steam Authentification Error
2. • EAC: Authentification Timed Out
3. • Timed Out

Depending on the error type you receive, there are different methods to fix them:

1. Steam Authentification Error
- Usually, Rust isn't able to receive your user data, and when it fails to load the necessary information, you get disconnected.

2. EAC: Authentification Timed Out
- This indicates that Easy Anti-Cheat couldn't receive necessary information from your computer. The issue most likely stems from corrupted Easy Anti-Cheat files on your computer.

3. Timed Out
- Whenever your internet experiences even minor issues, Rust servers are quite sensitive to them and may disconnect you.
Steam Authentification Error FIX ✅
1. Steam Authentification Error

1.1 • Clear your steam download Cache
1.2 • Verify integrity of game files on Steam

Check if 1.1 or 1.2 Works, if not, follow 1.3

1.3 • Reinstall Rust and Steam

EAC: Authentification Timed Out FIX ✅
2. EAC: Authentification Timed Out

2.1 • Close Rust and wait for up to 10 minutes
2.2 • Verify your game files in Steam
2.3 • Repair EAC: ↓

- Open your Rust folder (right click on Rust in Steam library > Manage... > Browse local files) and go to EasyAntiCheat folder

- When you're in the EAC folder, click on explorer's navigation bar and type EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe repair and press the Enter key

- If you've typed it correctly, new modal window will show up asking to grant administrator rights for the EasyAntiCheat process. Allow it

- Note: small console window will flash on your screen for a brief second – there's no graphics user interface like before, but EasyAntiCheat will successfully repair the service anyway

2.4 • Restart your PC and internet connection, turn your PC as well as your router / modem off and then on again
2.5 • Check for windows updates
2.6 • Update your antivirus / see if temporarily disabling it has any effect.
2.7 • Delete ‘RustClient.exe.eac’:

- Go to your Rust directory at *\Steam\steamapps\common\Rust\EasyAntiCheat and delete ‘RustClient.exe.eac’ if it exists

2.8 • Check for ‘forbidden applications’:

- Check towards the bottom of your "output_log.txt" in \Steam\steamapps\common\Rust for any applications that EAC has marked as "forbidden" and try stopping them from Task Manager. Find more information on the output_log.txt here https://support.facepunchstudios.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019318117-Output-Log

2.9 • Perform a fresh reinstall
