Description
v0.8 BETA

Expansions not yet supported by this mod.

Prime features:

*Adds meat to various creatures who have no meat. In particular: wolves now always drop dog meat.
Giants now drop up to ten toes, as opposed to the one they might have.
Mammoths now drop a hide made by pure guesswork using other hides as approximations.
Prefixes such as "ORE: " have been added to appropriate items for easier sub-sorting.
Various crafting recipes have been added.
~You can now cook items that were previously impossible to cook, such as grilled leaks. I don't understand why you would, but the option is there.
~You can smelt 100 gold to get a gold bar. When I can care enough, I will look into making this a crime.

In all cases I have tried to avoid using custom items to limit crafting list growth. The mammoth pelt was a small sacrifice in this endeavor.

*Not guaranteed for all items

FAQ

Q1 - "Will you change _____ about the game?"
A - If a proper argument is made and it is within my skill to do so, then maybe. Possibly. Eventually. Maybe never.

Q2 - "Will you change the _____ mechanic of the game?"
A - No; this mod is not about changing how the game works. This mod is (admittedly "generally") about changing what it is working with. It sounds kind of arbitrary, I know. If you think it's a good idea, then please post it. Just understand that I probably won't think it's so great.

Q3 - "ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) Y U NO _____??" (Overarching)
A - I dun wanna!

Q4 - "You have it so I can smelt gold coins into bars, but why can't I reverse the process?"
A - Well, a lot of effort goes into making money, you know. The most important thing: you need the mint that allows you to stamp it while it is still semi-soft from the mould. Average adventurers will have neither the skills nor the tools to get around this. Not only that, but creating/destroying currency is extremely illegal in every civilization known.
Ultimately: understand that I know that it should be done, I already know how I would do it, and doing it would involve lots of technical crap unless I think of a better way. Refer to questions 1 and 3.

If it didn't have the prefix name changes, this would be perfect. SkyUI already takes care of sorting, and the changes to the files the name changes make mess up a bunch of my other mods. Awesome idea though.

I think you might need to look into this, I keep getting a "could not sync files" error now a days, the mod still works but i'm just saying hey, there might be a bug.

Great mod! It makes my gameplay more... well commonsense like?!?!
Sometimes its just the basic stuff that can realy transform the experience (and in some casses ruin it). I would recommend this mod to anyone looking to improve there gameplay.

@woody As a supplemental (because I got hungry) it also does not cause crashing. I and a friend have played tens of hours with this mod on different machines, many other mods with it, and you're the only person who has ever reported any such problems with this mod.

However, on the off-chance that it was my mod, then my best suggestion is to start with a fresh install, subscribe to my mod, see if the game still crashes, then unsubscribe to see if it breaks your game again.

If it does crash and/or break, then I'll likely not be able to help you for several reasons. First, no one else is having this problem, so I'm certain that it's something on your end. Second, my mod simply doesn't contain more than the esp and doesn't change anything to do things so substantial. Finally, if your subsequent report is anything like your first one, then you're going to give me zero information to go.

That said, I do have theories as to what could be behind it, but one step at a time.

@woody No; it doesn't. All this download contains is a single .esp and maybe a readme. If uninstalling it broke your game, then it either had something to do with the Steam Workshop or you uninstalled something else by accident or on purpose. My mod had nothing to do with it.

Now if it broke your savegame that's a completely different story, but still not reasonably possible.

Has a problem un-installing, it removes a needed file from Skyrim core and causes crashing. Had to re-download the core game files to fix this.

@Famix Please consult the brand-spankin'-new FAQ Question 4 for your handy-dandy custom-tailored *response!

*may not actually be custom-tailored

Also: lol at the subscribe button. I just noticed that, to--I MEAN I DID IT ON PURPOSE LOOK HOW SMART I AM.
