The Rise and Fall Mod brings a lot of new dynamic to your HUMANKIND™ game, promising a more balanced and dynamic experience. Brace yourself for unexpected twists and turns, challenging crises, and a plethora of narrative events that will shape the destiny of your empire.

Balanced Gameplay:
Experience a more balanced and nuanced gameplay with measures in place to prevent excessive snowballing. In every era each leader with plenty of era stars face special crisis events, testing his to lead an empire through difficult times. Enjoy the challenge as you navigate the complexities of empire-building with a more finely tuned progression system.

Unpredictable Events:
Be prepared for challenging and unexpected events. From devastating natural disasters like earthquakes and droughts to political turmoil such as military coups or revolutionary movements, every era will present new challenges that demand your strategic prowess. Each leader can face up to two crisis events per era.

Decide how you handle the crisis:
Your decisions during a crisis will have far-reaching consequences for the fate of your empire. However, tread carefully, as each decision poses its own set of challenges, and the outcomes are bound to test your resilience.

Rich Narrative Events:
Immerse yourself in the story with over 20 new event chains with over 70 unique events and a rework of known events, each contributing to the rich tapestry of your empire's history. Explore multiple storylines that unfold based on your choices and actions throughout the game.


Embark on a journey through time, where the fate of your empire hangs in the balance. With the Rise and Fall Mod, every decision matters, and the challenges you face will forge the legacy of your civilization. Good luck, and may your empire stand the test of time!




TLDR:
  • Less snowballing by adding crisis events for player with a lot of era stars
  • Unpredictable events, political and natural disasters
  • About 6 unique crises events per era, shaping your empire's fate
  • A total of more then 70 rich narrative "crisis" events for immersive storytelling

Disclaimer: I tested it extensivly but bugs can always occure. I am happy for every report but please make sure that its not another mod causing the issue.

Mod's fun except for the bullshit event that simply destroys your districts, especially when it destroys unique ones from previous eras that you can't rebuild.

Some events can occured multiple times if the requirements of other disaster events are not met. About the turn ending bug: can you provide an error log and what is the star count you and the AI have (+Age)?

Hey man great mod, loved the new and flavorful events that you added. However, I must report the unfortunate turn pending bug popped up for me at turn 269. Further, sometimes I would get the same event twice in a row, is that an intended behavior? Anyways, thanks!

My build menu was set to buyout and without the switch I couldn't build anything. I was able to fix it by loading up a slightly earlier save. Honestly i'm not entirely sure what caused it, my best guess is that it had something to do with attaching a territory right after integrating an independent city.

Yesy there is an event in the industrial and contemporary age which can disable the buyout for some turns. But what do you mean with stuck in buyout mode?

Do any of the events in this mod disable the buyout event? It seems like my cities got stuck in the buyout mode and i cant disable it

Updated. Hope that the mysterious early modern era event bug is fixed. Not 100% sure though as I was not able to reproduce it.
