How to Disassemble and Craft
By ConfusedRobber
Disassembling furniture and other objects in Project Zomboid can be a hassle. Here's what you need to know:
Disassembling
Find an object to disassemble: Look for furniture, fences, sheds, or other wooden structures.
Right-click the object and select "Disassemble." This will break down the object and add the materials to your inventory.
Materials gained from disassembly:
Wood: Disassembling wooden objects will give you planks.
Metal: Disassembling some objects like filing cabinets, metal fences, or certain appliances will yield metal scraps.
Crafting
Open the crafting menu: Access the crafting menu by pressing the hammer icon on the left side of the screen.
Select the recipe you want to craft: Look for recipes that require planks or metal scraps. These recipes will usually be under the carpentry or metalworking sections.
Ensure you have the required materials: The crafting menu will show how many planks or metal scraps you need for the recipe.
You will need a variety of different tools to Dismantle certain furniture or something idk.
Please note that are a LOT of different materials besides wood and metal.

Things to know because I'm not as brain dead as before
Tips:
* Disassembling objects is a noisy activity and can attract zombies. Be careful when disassembling things in populated areas.
* The higher your carpentry or metalworking level, the more efficient you'll be at disassembling objects and crafting new items.
* Some mods can add new recipes and functionality to disassembling and crafting.
