Setting Up Steam
With your controller plugged in/connected to your computer and recognized by Steam,
1.) In Steam, at the top left menu, you'll want to navigate to:
Steam > Settings
2.) Within the Settings menu, you'll want to navigate to the "Controller" tab on the left.
3.) Under the "External Gamepad Settings", enable the setting named, "Enable Steam Input for <insert controller type here>." For my Dualshock, that's the "generic controllers" one.

One other step you may need, depending on your controller:
Right click Battleborn in your library > Properties
In the Controller Tab, Override dropdown box; change the selection to "Enable Steam Input."
Remapping Buttons
In Steam, you'll need to right-click on Battleborn in your library:
Manage > Controller Layout
Once you click "Edit Layout," you will need to navigate to each section that you want to change; the menu will save your changes along the way, and there is a reset button in case you need it.

I also published my layout if you would just like to use mine.
Drawbacks
Navigating menus (Char select and Pause menu for Reborn currently) can be annoying if you remap your controls like i did because none of the in game control graphics update. I just use KB+M in menus, (or remember which buttons i swapped and use those) and controller to play.

There is currently no way to increase sensitivity in Reborn (it should already be maxxed in Steam), but should be in the next update. You can lessen your sensitivity in the steam options if you want that.
