How to open, bind and use console in Black Mesa.

Accessing Console for the first time

1. Locate 'Black Mesa' in your steam library, either by searching or by scrolling through your library.







2. Right click on the game, and click on 'properties'






3. At the bottom of the tap where it says 'LAUNCH OPTIONS' Write -Console Close this tap and Open the game.




4. If you forsome reason like me are unable to do anything Because of the console being in the way, just hit 'resume', When the game loaeds press 'Esc'.

open setting > Bindings > Miscellaneous > developer console.
Select the bouttom you prefere and remember to save settings.











Try accessing the Console by pressing your assigned Key

The First and most importet Command of them all

The most importent command of them all is 'sv_cheats 1'

This will allow you to use commands such as no clip, weapon spawning and so on.

Gravity

Command	Effect
sv_friction X	sets Friction to the entered value. High value Friction = High level of resistans while moving, Lower Value = lower level of Resistans while moving
sv_gravity X	Sets Gravity to the enterd value, high value = higher Gravity > Falling fast Low the Value = Lower Gravity > Falling slower. The normal value is around 850.

Is there any way to go to certain checkpoints with commands? I kinda soft locked myself and I got a checkpoint after I did so, but I haven’t saved in the last 6 hours so I can’t do that…
