“What we find in books is like the fire in our hearths. We fetch it from our neighbors, we kindle it at home, we communicate it to others, and it becomes the property of all.” ~Voltaire

Thank you and enjoy!
Do this:
1. Push the "Windows Key + R" and then select the "Run" box will open (see image below).

2. in the Open box type "appdata" (no quotes) as seen in the image below.
3. then select "OK" or push "Enter".

4. now open the "Local" Folder then open the "Starfield" Folder.
5. Delete "Pipeline.cache" (see image below)

On game launch your shader cache will recompile
GPU Shader Cache
pipeline cache is all you need to do so this section is here if for some reason you need it.

FYI: Your Shader cache files for your GPU are located in a separate folder.

The steps listed above in this guide will only delete the shader cache specifically for Starfield so depending on which GPU you use (eg, AMD or Nvidia) you can also delete those separately but I rarely do because each time you update your graphics drivers the shader cache specific to your GPU will be refreshed anyway. However, during this process your Starfield shader cache will not be deleted which is why I made this guide. Performing the steps listed in this guide is all you need to do 99% of the time especially if you are keeping your GPU drivers up to date..

@ПАРЕНЬ ИЗ ДУМА - for me my pipeline cache file is 78,484 kb so about 78 MB's

Vlad do you know about how much space is needed on an ssd to load shaders?

@Bill 70 - yeah that's going to be about it for now, at least until after the Official Tools are released. Basically of the three guides I've released so far 2 of them are for those that have chosen to get involved with modding Starfield before those tools are released so Protecting their game is essential imo and a true Clean Reinstall always works in between each new load order not to mention anytime simple fixes won't fix a botched load order. And of course a Clean Reinstall can also fix a broken game that has zero mods. Finally, once the tools are released if we had an existing modded game a true Clean Reinstall will be in order.

As for this guide on recompiling shaders, it works for both modded and unmodded games.

Stay tuned though as once the official tools are released I'll be adding a few more guides including an actual load order guide.
