Declutter: Plant & Tree Movement

In 1 collezione di Team Vladof
Performance & Optimization (Low End / Old Comps)
24 elementi
Descrizione
Removes "wind" animations from all plants & trees. Basically, a more aggressive version of Bambinator's "Skyrim Performance Animations". Use his or use this one, but using both is redundant. (Doesn't affect grass animations. This mod is meant for low-performance machines, so it's assumed you turned off grass entirely.)

v.2 ... apparently just setting branch and trunk flexibility to 0 isn't enough to stop movement. Had to set leaf frequency to 0, also, to keep the leaves from moving as well. So, now the trees & plants are truly stationary.

Experimented with "leaf amplitude" to see what it would do. Basically, if set to 0 it removes all leaves from the trees (in the case of plants, like ferns, it removes them entirely, because all they are is leaves, no branches). I reduced most of these down to 1 or 2 (some were as high as 10), but I don't see a difference.

Is there an advantage to this other than ticking 'static trees' in beth.ini?

Could you make a mod that disables grass movement? that would be great if you could :P

Haven't a clue. Most of the time mods like these are "death of a thousand cuts". Meaning, one by itself won't have much impact. But, when you stack lots of them together you'll see an appreciable difference. Usually mods that impact more things can potentially have a greater impact. That's why a lot of "low performance" modders go for removing objects and reducing scripts and stuff. Anything to reduce polygons rendered per-frame, or script processing times.
