Theodore Templeton (The Boss Baby) Playermodel

Description
Update - 5/13/2024
Since I made the material colorable I noticed the flat texture have detail because of the normal map so I had to use the original UV's which it was much more difficult for me to texture parts I want to be colored. I even had to go through a rerig on one part because I tried transferring the UV map from the og model to the one I edit but there was an issue so I had to do it another way.

Hello people of the GMOD community, my name is Ronaldo 64 and this is my first workshop upload also my first playermodel (which it may not look that great not because of the rigging but the scripting for it to work). How I made this was I found the model and it was rigged so I went ahead converting it into a playermodel. How I converted it was I followed this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5LHjOzRo2dv7Btrr4YXn9yR0TkBuLfVO also this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9lmxpjSv0I and it did not turn out the way I wanted it to be because of the scripting for two of the .qc files. As you've seen the viewmodel arms are stretched and is something that I do not know how to fix also as for the main playermodel a user told me that I don't need to add "define bones". I used a QC file from the proportions trick script download and even followed the PTS tutorial video on what I need to do to the QC for the main model (which I've done it in an old version of Blender).

Enough said, I present you the Boss Baby (from the film with the same name) as a playermodel. I've been waiting for an official model like this since the release of the film because it would be hilarious to see this thing with a gun (really this may not be the first time you see a baby with a gun). It was unexpected for an official model like this to be made and if you're wondering were the model is from it's from a video game. A Dreamworks video game that's right, this is from the Dreamworks racing game itself, how I got this I found it on "Sketchfab" itself before it was published on the website were video game models are found (you know which one I'm talking about). As I've said this was rigged but I had to go through massive editing because of this model's design. You see the amount of spine bones the average GMOD playermodel has is 4 while the model I was was bringing in had 2 so I had to generate it to that amount but it wasn't that easy for me because I had to re-edit the clavicles because of the upper spine bone I had to add. I don't even know how spine4 works with vanilla source models like the rigging itself, I don't know if it's a bone that moves less because it's the upper part of the torso so I'm assuming it doesn't act that much but overall I should generate one if it doesn't have it.

Now I was talking about how difficult it was to edit the model in order for it to work, the model came with twist bones and I wanted to get rid of them, luckily somebody helped me out with that mentioned below. I didn't like the original upperarm rigging so I did my own. Lastly this model was tough to edit because it wears a suit like you wouldn't want to imagen how I went much I have went through with this.

What this has:
- Playermodel (with proportion trick)
- Veiwmodel Arms (they'll be fixed later)
- Jaw and eye bones (for those who would like to use this for screenshot purposes)

I don't know any other type of features a pm should, probably like hitboxes like the physics model I gave it.

Bugs/issues:
It floats for some reason (think it depends on the size of the model or something), when crouching it sinks through the floor, this is an issue with smaller playermodels, the "Anim_Attachments" aka the "prop bones" is out of place of the hand, this is because the tutorial I saw didn't spoke about those so I tried my best to edit them I tried adding new bones to the bone structure even adding the script names for them, I even added the script names then compiling and decompiling it so it can have those bone, then I threw it in a program adjusted the bones, then I compiled it back again and they were still out of place so couldn't do nothing about it. Lastly, the viewmodel's arms are stretched which I do not know what's causing it.

If any of you folks could help me out with those things I would really appreciate it.

There were many features I wanted to give this like making it colorable which I couldn't get that to work either but I would like it if you could help me out with that one. I even wanted this to be a complete pm in the first place like having it movable eyes, blinkable eyelids and mouth opening when using the mic. I'm assuming the original models had facial flexes, speaking of feel free to use this model and edit it out to make it have those things.

Now let me tell you about myself: I used to own a Steam account, if you don't recognize me that much let me tell you I had an account in the name of MarioPlayer137, what happened was it got hijacked and I wasn't able to recover it so I had to make a new one. But let me tell you that I have changed a lot from before as you would expect. But hey it's better if I start somewhere new since I changed which since I realized what has been going on with me and what I have been doing wrong before I should start from somewhere new.

I apologize for lousy screenshots and thumbnail, it's the best I can do and I'm just getting started, oh speaking of feel free to do your own and send them to me, I will muchly appreciate. Btw if you do tend to do screenshots you have to do it on a map that makes sense for the character depending on what it is.

If anybody's going to take this model to edit it so it can be a usable model or if anybody's going to port this to other games such as VRChat for example then credit me if you do.

It's decent. I'll use that when I remaster Boss Baby's First Days at Work.
