Accurate Religious Landscape : Nestorianism

Deskripsi
This mod seeks to be as historical as possible by sticking to the demographic data of the early Middle Ages concerning the Nestorian Church. At this time, under the Abbassid Caliphate, the Church of the East experienced its Golden Age, winning a lot of new converts among soghdians and turkics people.
In Persia and Transoxiana, nestorian christianity became so prevalent that Chinese annals called Christianity "the religion of the Persians".
At this time nestorian christians were highly esteemed by the caliphate and still represented most of the population of Syria and Iraq until late Xth.

This mod also adds "Ecumenical" doctrine to Nestorianism. Nestorian christians themselves were usually keen to greet any other nicean christian as fellow believer, and Nestorians were not seens as worse heretics than miaphysites or greek schismatics, as it is demonstrated by the writings of Marco Polo and Giovanni dal Piano dei Carpini, and in the ambassy of Rabban Sauma to Europe.

- Nestorianism is now ecumenical.

- Merv replace Farz as nestorian holy site. (Metropolitan bishopric - important missionnary station to the steppes, also birthplace of nestorian theologian Ishodad of Merv)
Demographics :
- in 867 more syriac and nestorian provinces in Syria / Iraq
- In 867 Merv and Amol are nestorian.

The Church of the East or the Nestorian Church is one of three major branches of Nicene Eastern Christianity that arose from the Christological controversies of the 5th and 6th centuries, alongside the Miaphisite churches (which came to be known as the Oriental Orthodox Churches) and the Chalcedonian Church.

Continuing as a dhimmi community under the Sunni Caliphate after the Muslim conquest of Persia (633–654), the Church of the East played a major role in the history of Christianity in Asia. Between the 9th and 14th centuries, it represented the world's largest Christian denomination in terms of geographical extent, and in the Middle Ages was one of the three major Christian powerhouses of Eurasia alongside Latin Catholicism and Greek Orthodoxy. It established dioceses and communities stretching from the Mediterranean Sea and today's Iraq and Iran, to India (the Saint Thomas Syrian Christians of Kerala), the Mongol kingdoms and Turkic tribes in Central Asia, and China during the Tang dynasty (7th–9th centuries). In the 13th and 14th centuries, the church experienced a final period of expansion under the Mongol Empire, where influential Church of the East clergy sat in the Mongol court.

This mod still at least works partially for me. Nestorianism is ecumenical and considered astray rather than hostile. I don't know if it still adds more Nestorian counties in 867.

Has this worked for everyone else? It seems to only partially work for me. Is it compatible with all DLC and other popular mods?

Yes. The Elder Kings Mod does it by Decision.

@TurtleSchroom, you can change Holy Sites now?

love this, it's great, I loved Nestorianism ever since I took an interest in Naiman people, and this mod is a very good re-branding of PDX-flavour "Nestorianism" into something a bit more historical

Pro-tip: all of this can be done by Events and On-Actions, from setting Holy Sites to changing province religions. The Communion and Denominations Mod does this, if you want to see some example codes. No actual files have to be edited.
