The Thompson M1A1 was an American submachine gun, that was a simplification of the M1 SMG.
It was very famously used in the Second World War.

I recommend disabling hovering highlights, it lets you see the gun a lot better.
Open pause menu, go to Settings, and in 'General' there is 'Show hovering highlights'.

How to Load and Fire:
Grab magazine
Insert into the gun (it helps if you shove it in hard)
Lock bolt back with charging handle

Remember to release the trigger after firing in full-auto
or the gun will fire the moment you put in a new mag and rack the bolt back.
