ACHIEVEMENT - The Enemy of My Enemy - GUIDE

Achievement not unlocking? This guide will help you out!

IMPORTANT

There is a certain requirement which is not mentioned everywhere.

1. You have to do 20 kills in one save-file.

What does that mean?

Let's say your progression is at 0/20.
You kill 5 enemies with a puppet skill, that makes it 5/20.
But all of a sudden you die, and you have to reload to a save file which you have made before starting the hunt for this achievement.
And guess what? You get back to 0/20. Instead of doing 15 more kills, you have to do 20 all over again.
That's what blocked me from unlocking this achievement.

Recomendations

There are certain items which can help you out in obtaining this achievement.

[BOMBS]

Samum

Will stun-lock enemies for a certain time, allowing you to cast Axii without them interrupting you.
Downside: stuns you too, if you throw it close to yourself. More to that down below.

Northern Wind

Will freeze enemies. Essentially the same as Samum, but without a downside.

[POTIONS AND DECOCTIONS]

Tawny Oil

Missed when casting a sign? This potion will restore the energy for another sign-cast faster.

Noonwraith Decoction

Will wear off the debuffs you get by Samum if you throw it close to yourself, as mentioned earlier.

Obtainment process

The Enemy of My Enemy

Use the Axii Sign to force one opponent to kill another. Do this 20 times.





In order to get this achievement, you have to get the "Puppet" skill, and it's recommended to max it out.

IMPORTANT: Don't use any other Axii-related skill, since it will get in your way of activating the Puppet mechanic.

Then you should go there: Skellige - Trottheim Village



Going to the place marked with a circuit will get you to a place of an endless 2 pirate spawnpoint.
If they do not appear - circle around for a bit.



Then do the following:
1. Make sure your weapon doesn't have a chance of landing debuffs such as poisoning, bleeding etc., since enemies can die because of them. Fists will do the trick.
2. Focus on one pirate, dodge the attacks from the second one. Get that one pirate to low-health, as on this screenshot



3. Circle around, get them to stand together.
4. Throw a Samum or Northern Wind bomb. You'll get them stunned. While they are stunned - choose Axii sign and hold the sign-cast button. Cast the sign on the enemy who has the most health.

IMPORTANT: Hold a button in order to cast the Puppet skill. It'll take a while, that's why we need the stun-bombs.

5. Kill the remaining pirate, run away for 5-10 meters, pirates should respawn. Repeat that 19 more times without dying, or save the game after each kill.
If you run out of potions/bombs - run away and meditate.
