Introduction

Are you about to play GTA IV and its expansions after several years, or maybe on your way to do your first playthrough and/or want to experience every little thing this game has to offer?

This walkthrough will let you efficiently finish GTA IV while unlocking all achievements and getting 100% completion.
Missions, relationships, friendships, sidemissions and other tasks are in order of when they are unlocked, or in the order that makes the most sense.

All the choices that are specified in this guide are picked to be as close to what the canon storyline would be, and they also increase the content for the game.
By following this guide, no achievements will be missed by making the "wrong" decision.

There are extra information about unique vehicles that can only be found in certain missions, feel free to save them in your 2 parking spaces outside any of the 5 safehouses.
Some tasks in the list are not necessary for either 100% or an achievement, like giving the Buskers 30$ in total for a ringtone, buying all clothes or buying all ringtones and themes, but I still liked the extra content so I've added most of what I could find.

Usage example

Create a new note for Grand Theft Auto IV: The Complete Edition and copy the checklist section you want to work on from this guide into it.
That way you can use the steam overlay to check off any task that you've done.

Notes on steam can be a bit buggy if they are too long, keep each section as its own note.

Liberty City Minute

GTA IV contains a missable achievement, Liberty City Minute, which requires you to finish the main storyline missions within 30 hours.
You will miss this achievement if you follow this walkthrough since you will be closer to 50 hours before you finish the game.
I'd recommend cheesing this achievement by finding alternative ways of doing it.

About GTA V, yeah, I'd love to, but it's such a complicated game with so many things to keep track of, and I'm not sure exactly how to tackle it yet. But even though I dont have anything at the moment, I want to have it completed before GTA VI releases.

I've added a note after the Heli Ride and Boating activities with Brucie that they are not unlocked until after Blow Your Cover. Sorry for missing this, and thanks for the info.
About the friendships in TBoGT, I think I remember unlocking their friendship immediately, but now I'm not sure anymore. I will have to investigate this further, but I will keep it as it is for now.

In TBoGT, the friendships/activities didn't unlock until after the second mission (Practice Swing). Maybe it just unlocks after a few days and it's just a coincidence, I'm not 100% sure.
