Way of The Reaper

Gameplay Styles

Despite what Reaper is mainly known for, Flanking, Reaper has three different play styles!

Breacher
Assassin
Guard

The following sections will go over each one!

Let's begin!

Breacher

Breacher is all about being in your enemy's face, specifically the tanks!

Your job as a Breacher is to 'Breach' the frontlines! weather that be breaking a Reinhardt shield, keeping the Rammatra guarding, or getting the Mauga to retreat.

In this way of playing Reaper you should use wraith form and shadow step as escape tools, this play style is most effective against shield tanks, counters to this play style are the following

Orisa
Roadhog
Junker Queen

In this play style, your state of mind should be about taking out the tank only, leaving the battle field, then flanking to take out the support if you can.

Assassin

Tired of those widowmakers and hanzo's? well be the assassin that they fear, assassin is straight forward really, taking out DPS that are longer range, this play style is similar to the breacher except instead of focusing the tank you focus one or both dps in 1v1 scenarios, there aren't many counters to this play style if you're doing it right but some characters can out-run you such as

Tracer
Genji
Soldier: 76
Junkrat
Pharah
Sombra

if you kill them quick enough you won't have to worry about these heroes outrunning you.l

Guard

Guarding is simple, stick by your tank and help them fight any enemies that try and take down your tank, Reaper is a close range hero, so the perfect scenario is an enemy coming close to your tank so you can defend them effectively, there's no counter to this other than someone killing you first then your tank so try not to die!
