Description
Uses CSS, portal, l4d/l4d2, and the episodes

A collection of places trying to remake spaces I've photographed on film, plus a few areas just born out of nothing. There's a few secrets here and there, and a handful of spooks. No loud jumpscares or anything of that sort just creepy environments. Just make sure to heed any NO ENTRY signs! This is my first map (or at least the first to make it this far), so understandably it's honestly a bit eh but I'm happy enough with where it is rn for a WIP publishing.

I've still got a lot of polishing to do but I think this is roughly how large I want the full map to be. Currently its fairly well optimized, I'll also edit this with my results in VRMod when I get a chance tomorrow!

That was my next plan was to try and get everything packed up from the oddball paks, should still be well under the 400 mb limit or whatever it is now :missing:

Hammer projects can honestly be endless because of how painful the workflow is so I get it lol. I will say, a lot of people probably aren’t going to have Left 4 Dead or Portal assets mounted so it is worth extracting all the materials and models into your own gmod folder if you’re fine with taking up extra space. Hope you get this map where you want it, it’s a great start!

@Pakdoc2 Thank you so much! I want to add a fair bit more detail work to it and maybe even try using some color correction/post process stuff, but I think I'm more or less happy with it geometry-wise. Hopefully detail passes don't take me another year lmao

the lighting and mood is really great in this, it hardly feels like a WIP at all
