How to install Hammer

This is a guide on how to install Hammer Editor for advanced map creation. (NOTE: Needs computer, doesn't work on console)

How to install Hammer

To install Hammer, go to Steam and click on "Library". Then, where it says "Games", click and a drop-down will appear. Check the "Tools" box. Scroll down until you find "Portal 2 Authoring Tools". Install that and then launch the software once the download is completed (Click the big green button.) A pop-up will show, where you will want to double-click on the first option: "Hammer World Editor".

If you want to create maps for other Valve games, (e.g. Halflife, Portal 1...) Use the same process but look for "SourceSDK" instead of "Portal 2 Authoring Tools".
