Immersive Conception

Description
This mod has several features so please read before you ask questions.

This mod adds an character interaction with lovers and spouses to ask them to attempt to have a baby. It is important to note they are capable of saying no depending on your relationship. To access it simply right click on a relevant character and search for the option.

This is not an automatic make a baby button. Whether or not a character says yes depends on several variables, including but not limited to rank difference, personality, marriage status, how much you have in common, how loyal they are, have you slept together before, etc.

After they show initial interest you still must convince them to take the extra step. You are given several option on how to do so, each associated with a cost.

Another feature of this mod is that it modifies the relationship with you spouse and other family members so you actually have to work at them. No more free baby factories!

This mod also increases fertility generally but also increases both child mortality rates, as well as ties the maternal mortality rate closer to her health and age, to better represent the danger of having children during this time period.

If you play AGOT here is the specific version of this mod for it: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3346240041
(Like AGOT? here is my personal mod list https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2812221181&savesuccess=1)

Mod Compatability:

-Please place this below any other total overhaul mods if you want the effects from this mod to override any changes they may have made to similar files. Even so I can't guarantee compatibility with overhauls.
-Place this mod under/after the Royal Mistress mod or all my birth edits will be overwritten.
-Use either this mod OR Lay with Realm (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2876611303&searchtext=lay+with+realm). They aren't meant to be used together. They work on similar aspects of CK3.

This mod builds on the work and advice of other modders such as cuomo860, Fletz and Savitar and I would like to credit them here.

I would love to hear from all of you about what I can improve and and suggestions for added features.

Localization for lay_with_partner_aibehavior_norms_tt is also missing! Thanks!

@finallyciv Sure I can get to it. Currently doing a giant overhaul of another mod but I'll do this one after.

I have noticed some problems with your English localisation. Some lines of code are duplicated, some do not match the heading. Could you please take a look? Also, I would like to see the integration of (new or vanilla) interaction icons in your mod.

Ok thanks

@SvG Try just placing my mod above Dark Ages if you want to use Dark Age's mortality rates, or below Dark Ages if you want to use mine. I've tried to make my mod pretty compatible with others.

I would enjoy trying this mod but I alraedy play with dark ages mod and it edits mortality rates. Im worried it would break mortality rates in my game

@loom11 is does not replace automatic baby making. It supplements it but adding a direct and interactive way of initiating intimate relations. It also increases fertility generally but also increases the chance for complications.

Is this mod supposed to disable automatic baby making? I married my character and within a year the wife got pregnant without me ever using the attempt to lay button

Another update:
-Made 51% of all children born female to better correspond to real life averages
-Slightly increased chances of birth without complications from where the mod was set. It was weighted so women were dying in childbirth at a higher rate than the historical average
-Increased chance of children being born sickly
-Increased range of children's health so that whether a child lives on until adulthood is more left to chance. This is a better representation of child mortality in medieval European society than just having them die in childbirth.

What factors would you all like to see taken into consideration when the NPC is considering saying yes or no to your advances? What should some more consequences (positive or negative) be?
