Well here it is, the more accurate and dynamic version of gm_liminal_hotel.

This map is based off a real hotel in London, Terminal 4 Holiday Inn Heathrow Airport. Unlike it's previous version this one has increased its accuracy tenfold by using many references, videos, and 360 images to recreate this hotel in all its glory.

It has a few differences from the real place that I could not include due to source's limitations, such as a staircase that doesn't exist, and a whole set of rooms. Rest assured every single window you see has a room on the other side. The windows can be broken and the curtains can be opened and closed.
I am aware the FPS on the map may not be the best but this is due to the map's nature being a big open area, which the source engine doesn't handle very well. Maybe in the future I can optimize it somehow, at this moment I'm not sure what I could do to optimize it.

Like gm_liminal_hotel this map also has a set of easter eggs you can go ahead and try finding!

I kinda want that secret ballroom from the original liminal hotel. I really liked it

I'm not saying I hate the criticism. I'd just rather you send it in the form of a text document through Discord or something so it doesn't flood.

@Gamer You'd rather it be filled with the same generic comments about black figures over and over again? The mapper still clearly did a great job. And regardless, the comments are mainly to give feedback to the creator of the map, as luckily the vvis optimization really is pretty much the biggest factor in the low fps. Clearly the map is doing just fine regardless, a little bit of constructive criticism isn't going to hurt.

I want to consider these comments to be flooding. But I can't. I'm just the guy who paid for the map. I can't delete them.

Or when going in the hallway behind the record player

- that even if intentional can easily be made func_detail placed on a worldsolid floor.

You will consistently get stuck in the halls when rubbing against the walls due to some odd vertex or bit sticking out.

99% of the time, anything that is detail and isn't marking out the layout of a room, or isn't realistically going to be blocking player sight in any meaningful way, should be a prop or func_detail, some kind of detail brush, etc, when that clearly isn't the case here, and while I am not trying to be some snob about it as it ultimately is arbitrary to a certain degree, in this case it sincerely is what is hurting the performance here above all, to the point where even trying to visualize the visleaves with mat_leafvis will crash your game outright as IntellectualPotato mentioned.

I hope the mapper can take this as a form of constructive criticism, and so people can understand where the poor performance is coming from. Holy fucking shit, sorry for the essay!
