HELLDIVERS 2 ON STEAM DECK

In order to play Helldivers 2 on our patriotic and democratic Steam Deck you must have ProtonQt installed and follow these steps:

The FIRST BOOT must be done in DESKTOP MODE, I repeat in DESKTOP MODE.

1. Enter desktop mode.
2. Download the Proton Ge 8.30 version from ProtonQt.
3. Link it from Helldivers 2 properties forcing compatibility with Proton Ge 8.30 version.
4. Hit play.

Para poder jugar Helldivers 2 en nuestras patrioticas y democraticas Steam Deck hay que tener instalado ProtonQt y seguir los siguientes pasos:

MODO ESCRITORIO: Proton GE 7.49
MODO JUEGO: Proton GE 8.30

El PRIMER INICIO debe hacerse en modo escritorio, repito en MODO ESCRITORIO.

1. Entrar en modo escritorio.
2. Descargar la versión Proton Ge 8.30 desde ProtonQt.
3. Enlazarla desde las propiedades de Helldivers 2 forzando la compatibilidad con la versión Proton Ge 8.30.
4. Darle a jugar.

I did zero just installing it and it works just fine, don't recommend playing on Helldriver difficult on the Steam Deck for then it would be on fire

Somebody mentioned that proton 9 can improve the performance even on lvl 9 difficulty, can anyone verify it does have better performance?

Great guide, works well. You need to launch the game in desktop mode at least once, before launching helldivers in standard gaming mode. After that initial launch in desktop mode it works great.

It works right after installation now. Don't have to mess with different Proton versions.

I've just been playing with 3 other players a mission on hard and it's going like clockwork, still draining the battery like there's no tomorrow but at 40 FPS stable in between.

So with version 8.30 it works fine, if there is any news from Arrowhead or new compatibilities I will put it in the guide.

Zero compatibility tool is what I'm using and not a single problem at all yet with a solid 45-50 fps.
