Description
Deep within the undergrounds of Zaton lies M3, a facility of unknown purpose. Some stalkers who ventured there theorize it could be for general maintenance or for more nefarious purposes. Either way, it recently became a popular spot for stalkers who want to duke it out over a conflict or a girl in Cordon. People are still trying to unravel the mystery behind M3, with the only clues being its name and several documents scattered around mentioning it.




After two whole maps inspired by the Half-Life 2 Leak, I thought it was time to clean my palate a little before heavily diving into the dark and gritty again. I wanted to make my own gm_cqb2, as while the map is really good and very handy for testing NPCs and having fights, it was way too cramped and maze-like. As for the aesthetic, I looked at S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Metro for heavy inspiration. They are two of my favorite franchises along with Valve's and wanted to do my own take on it.

A big defining feature of this map is the heavy reliance on lights casting long shadows behind grates. Its a lighting scheme I feel is very under appreciated and not used a whole lot in Source. You could say I'm casting a light on this but what do I know. Source can actually do this by default using the "-textureshadows" command and a whole bunch of other things, but it was limited to models. Thanks to Slammin', it extended that feature to brushes as well which allowed me to do a whole host of stuff.

I'm getting "Nodegraph out of date.." on this map. Is there something I can do to fix it ?

I found an addon called "Perma prop remover" that adds a txt file of the map name to remove the doors, strange work around but it's all I needed, everything is running smoothly.

The atmosphere and detail is so good for Zombies. I can attempt putting a rock in front of the doors and flag them but the AI might get stuck due to the obstruction being in the nav mesh

Can you please reupload and remove the doors..? they do not stay removed in Sandbox for me. I am working on a Zombies config but your doors do not delete and open simply by being knifed which ruins it. I can't lock them, persist them, nothin. I can't find a guide on how to load up resources nor do I want do do it without permission.
