Copy and paste this into the "launch options" to use the mod (requires the open beta version of the original mod)
(If for some reason this doesnt work, " STEAMMOD=3141723592 STEAMMOD=1145741406 " can be used instead(without quotation marks) )

Ive decided to name this submod (Un)Realism! Trying to be more show accurate - hence "Realistic", but since Stargate is actually not really realistic thats why the (Un)

(Un)Realism submod currently works for open beta of amazing Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles [Open Beta]
SGMG - authors of original mod did amazing work in bringing Stargate into empire at war framework, but their amazing work gave us dreams of what could once be...

This submod mostly tweaks xml files, making the mod in my opinion more show accurate

I HIGHLY recommend playing as tauri only with this submod. Tauri AI doesnt work well with chagnes in this submod. I plan to tweak AI to be able to use this submod but its faaar faaar away yet.
Most changes are aimed for Tauri but I have updated pretty much all other races to be able to compete with new Tauri.
Replicators are now actual threat, more durable, with powerful shields (on big ships at least) and with more dangerous weapons
Wraith have 60 pop cap (Tauri 30 and Goauld 50) their weapons deal a bit more dmg but they are a lot more tanky and have almost insane regeneration
Goauld have undergone the least changes so far but their shields and weapons have been boosted.


Biggest changes-
Gone is FoW - Fog of War is removed (kinda, ive set all (I hope) units to have 99999 vision) This very improves enemy AI
Tauri only have 30 points that they can bring to space battle, fights are actually challenging early and later on in the game even if you have strong units.

Major change on how Tauri get access to new tech research. Tech advancing is now tied to certain heroes you need to find.
For T2 you need to get Prometheus
For T3 you need to get Odyssey
For T4 you need to get Weir
For T5 you need to get Thor

Major changes to Tauri and Asgard units

303 is now comparable (little better) to pyramid ship
304 is now comparable to New Hatak but more expensive and more pop also is no longer a starting unit
Added 303 Mk2 (comparable (little better) to Old hatak) Also named it BC-303 Mk2
304 Mk2 with beams, is now avalible in the base mod. You will get my version the same way you get the base version it just costs more and is more powerfull.
304 REFIT (that gives better shields and 302s) is removed from the submod as it is redundant
New ship type- BS-305 a new ship with brand new model available at Tech 4, its major step up from 304 and its very much needed for Tauri to have a chance against all enemies they can encounter
(regarding new model for 305- I have borrowed it from SciFi At War - The Original mod. Model is called TerranAssaultCarrier. According to author of the mod he was allowed to use this model for his mod from someone else but doesnt actually remember who so I was unable to get clear allowance from original author of the model, so if someone knows who that is contact me please)

Asgard ships are heavily buffed, costs more and are actually limited - You can only build 40 Daniel Jackson ships, 30 Beliskners, DJ is now T4 and Beliskner is T5

There is a change in how Oneill works now. As these ships are very powerfull (comparable in power to Ori mothership), it would probably make sense to build as much of them as you can right? Well to prevent having only those ships in your fleet, and to encourage fleet build diversity, I came up with a system similar to digsites (wanted to make my own digsites but Im not good enough to actually handle that). On every Asgard planet in Ida galaxy you can do costly and time intensive ressearch that gives you 2 Oneill ships. Thats 12 ships total, but be carefull, if you lose them there is no way to get them back!

DJ and Belliskner do not have the same limitations, they can be build as normal.

For either Sol or Sleipnir you can use not only MK2 generator that you get from Atlantis, but any one that you find for example from digsites.
There are now 3 variants of Sol that are avalible to you.
ESF Sol has been adjusted, it is now only variant of Sol that has the beam ability and is overall middle between the three variants.
ESF Antares is anti capital-ship warship. With no fighter/bomber complement whatsoever but huge number of nukes. It is the most resilient of the three variants.
ESF Polaris is heavy support carrier. It has 6 F-302 and 6 HB-302 units in its hangars and a lot of bonuses for whole fleet. It is the most fragile of the three but is still far from defensless.

ODIN now costs more $$ and Pop but it is much much MUCH stronger. In my opinion its strong contestant for strongest unit in the game along with Atlantis


Most heroes (for example Apollo and Sun Tzu) were added in the game to where it makes sense, explore and youll find them I am sure

You can build few New Hataks if you have Bratac
You can build few Travelers frigates if you have certain hero (Im sure you know what hero youll need...but where do you find her? Explore and youll see :-) also traveler frigates are now really good against bigger ships!)
You can recruit some Jaffa rebels if you have Chulak or Dakara (and if you built their building)

Only way to get to Lantea now is to get ZPM from Praclarush (you can still enter pegasus via void and other ways but Lantea only unlocks when you finish new Pegasus research)

Orion or Artemis can now be upgraded with ZPM on earth(you will lose the ZPM)
Orion is drone ship with no lasers
Artemis is longer range artillery like ship with no drones
Both are very powerfull ships, depends on you if you want to upgrade or keep the ZPM.
Aurora is damaged as normal but with Digsite mechanic from open beta you can repair it to be even more powerfull than normal!

Also Drones no longer penetrate shields! (With a one single exception, Ill let you figure that out yourself)

@westero - glad you like the mod, for atlantis, you need ZPM from taonas, if you do dig sites to get it you wont cause taonas dig site in my mod only gives partialy depleted ZPM. But if you bring SG-1 to taonas, there will be research project for normal ZPM and THAT one will unlock pegasus expedition, youre correct that you cant put Hammond on talos if you start at T5, and system flagship spam is certainly something but that is on AI behaviour which I didnt touch (cause its much more difficult)

alright the mod so is very cool to work with and i love it a lot. but there are a lot of things that just are buggy as hell. the lantean expedition never gets unlocked despite getting the ZMP as demanded by the instructions, and i literaly waited 5 real hours for the even to launch. as such you also don't get weir and therefore also not tier 4 tech,
if you customice the game to start at tech level 5, you can't put hammond on the talos. not to mention the lantea expedition still doesn't start with the ZPM even there.
for the goa'uld system lords, the system ha'tak spam is incredibly tireing, and makes a bit less sense, sure i get the goa'uld need good ships to counter, but given in the shows sheer mass of normal Ha'taks, it would make more sense to just have a shit ton of new Ha'taks,
the mod is great, but it needs to work out these few esential tweets, especialy with how to get weir. in total i will give this mod a 7/10 still despite the flaws the mod still is neat.

@wasabi185 - main point of this mod is to give it more "show realistic" dimensions, such as Tauri ships being more advanced then their counterparts from other factions, but since Tauri is not as exploitative (like using slaves) as either Goauld or Wraith, they can only produce and field less ships. Having 20x304 in one battle in original mod was bothering me waaaay more then it should and was the main reason for this submod. So in short, Tauri ships are stronger (about 1.5x) then their counterparts, but also more expensive. If you could field full 50 points of tauri ships they would steamroll anything

@pacos18 What you could try to do is to do a copy of the campaign with all your changes then have a lite version with the original campaign.

For people who think like me (if they exists :p) it would be a plus.

@Barken - this has been fixed but it does require new game to take effect, however saving and loading should fix it for old version aswell

@Arbiter - indeed SGMG made the mod that way and thats fine, but I feel it differently a thats why my mod is different. If you would preffer real sandbox then original open beta is perfectly fine and great mod

Unfortunately, it kind of break the sandbox fun out of the games.
In my opinion, research should not be tied to events, as they are to add a little "peps" to the game, not forcing you to do thing in a specific order :(

Hi, my game freezes moments after the Daedalus cutscene shortly after unlocking Lantea. I can only move the camera and can't do anything else. How can I fix this?

@zephixAqua - also, this mod is for GC only, skirmish is probably broken but I am not focusing on that at all, if you want to play skirmish, play with regular mod, SGMG made sure its stable (as can be), and balanced
