Simple script that i was using is some of my mods. People were asking to make it as a standalone thing, so here it is.
Must be installed on both client and server.

Working with blood in Arma is hard, due to how engine handles particles and materials. So dont expect anything crazy here. If you want more advanced version for singleplayer experience i would suggest using any version of BloodLust.
This mod was developed with focus on multiplayer and low performance effect.
It works only on humans, so any custom skeletons will be untouched and therfore fully compatible with it.

You can now disable blood spawning on a specific unit via this command
this setVariable ["WBK_BloodMod_Disable",true,true];

So what this mod does?
  • Spawns ANIMATED vanilla blood pools when unit dies. Size and type is defined whenever unit was shoot in a head or other side of the body.
  • Spawns a blood splatter on walls if unit is standing close to them.
  • Spawns blood particles on headshots (Can be disabled).
  • Adds blood and blocking particles whenever you fight in melee if IMS is enabled (Can be disabled)

Known issues
  • Blood spreading animation do not work on Virtual Reality Map!!!
  • Sometimes blood angle when spawning might look weird, that is happening due to multiple reasons (such as collision of the weapon or an object). I will try to fix it, but no promises.
  • Blood can look weird if it spawns inside of another blood pool. Thats an vanilla blood pool problem and i cant do anything about it.

And as i stated before, vertical blood spawns is not something i can fix, its just how geometry check works in arma.

No, bro, I've already written to you before. Your mod is the best compared to others.

1) your blood color is the most appropriate.
2) there's a precise pools source (head, torso).
3) blood can appear inside interiors.

Other mods don't have this.

Please try improve your mod so that at least puddles don't appear vertically.

@Bark bark I support you. Because the pool is too big, it often goes through the second-floor walls and hangs in the air. Or it goes through fences or walls. Reducing the size of the puddle would smooth out this problem a bit.

For this mod It would be great to have settings - "pool size" and "pool probability"
If customization is not possible, then reducing the size of blood pools would be a useful tweak

@WebKnight Hi!

The blood decal should only spawn horizontally, but quite often the blood puddle spawns vertically, which spoils impression.

Is there a way to restrict the spawn of vertical blood decal, using angles restrictions for texture/decal?

The animated blood pools do not seem to work on dedicated servers that run CBA. Funny enough it DOES seem to work on dedicated servers when it's the only mod loaded. Like I said the problem seems to be CBA.

now i see, when I turn off the medical system of ACE,the meat chunks work just fine......So is there any way for compatibility? I'm much into this blood effect

@WebKnight but the headshot meat chunk is not working while ACE is on
