How to Keep Your House Without Paying Silver in Outward

Outward is a game that challenges you to survive in a harsh and unforgiving world. One of the first obstacles you face is the debt that you owe to your tribe after a shipwreck. You have five days to pay 150 silver coins or lose your house and all your belongings. However, there is a way to keep your house without paying a single coin, by earning a tribal favour instead. This guide will show you how to do that.

Step 1: Get a Bandage and a Weapon

Before you leave your house, make sure you have a bandage and a weapon. You can find a bandage in the chest next to your bed, and a weapon in the chest near the door. Alternatively, you can buy a weapon from the blacksmith or craft one with iron scraps and wood. You will need these items to deal with the enemies and the wounded man that you will encounter later.

Step 2: Go Through the Cierzo Storage

The next step is to go through the Cierzo Storage, which is a cave located behind your house. You can access it by going down the stairs next to the lighthouse. Inside the cave, you will find some loot and enemies, such as bandits and hyenas. You can fight them or sneak past them, depending on your preference. The exit of the cave is on the other side, near a waterfall.

Step 3: Follow the Beach and Find the Wounded Man

Once you exit the cave, you will be on the beach. Follow the beach to the south, avoiding or fighting the crabs that you see along the way. Eventually, you will find a wounded man lying on the sand, near some rocks and a boat. He is the captain of the ship that you were on, and he will ask you for a bandage. Give him the bandage, and he will thank you and tell you to go back to Cierzo and talk to Rissa Aberdeen, the leader of your tribe.

Step 4: Go Back to Cierzo and Talk to Rissa

To go back to Cierzo, you can either retrace your steps through the cave, or take a shortcut by following the canyon to the north and hugging the west side until you see the town. Once you are back in Cierzo, go to the town hall and talk to Rissa. She will be impressed by your deed and grant you a tribal favour, which you can use to pay off your debt and keep your house. Congratulations, you have just saved your home and 150 silver coins!

uhh.. where did you get a key to go anywhere inside the storage? it was a dead end cave with a few loot spots
