MW2019: Concept M4

Description
A scoped M4, depicted in some L4D2 concept art (can also be seen in some promotional art and even in some in-game art), on mav's & ThomasCat's MW2019 animations, with some slight adjustments.

I meant to do this a while back but I didn't know how to transfer an animation set from one weapon to another back then. Uses Cuba's Scoped M4 model with mainly a few edits to the scope lens and overall minor model adjustments made by me.

Includes a custom HUD icon, worldmodel and firing sound.
Replaces the CS:S SG-552.

NOTE:
  • This addon replaces the SG-552's firing sound, therefore, some sound mods may conflict.

I fully support & encourage edits of my mods. If you decide to upload your edit to the workshop or anywhere else, you are free to do so without needing to ask first, however please make sure that you credit me appropriately for the original work as well as any other authors that have contributed to the mod and provide a link to the mod that your edit is based on.

This mod in particular is based on mav's mod, which requires explicit permission for it to be modified & published in any way, shape or form, so make sure to seek approval first if you intend to edit it and publish it.

Is it possible to make a version where it replaces the M16 instead?

in that case, try only following the rigging process of the first link.
the whole $includemodel thing is normally used when the animations you want to use break when decompiling them and are irrecoverable.
since you're using my nmrih anims, you can just resort to the source files bundled in the mod. you don't necessarily have to use $includemodel.

happy modding

tomaz, thank you for this and for your generosity!

To clarify, I'm trying to learn to take animations from one addon and put them on a weapon model from a different addon for person practice/private use. For example, using NMRIH M16A4 animations and putting them on Querentin M16 Improved model

I'll work through the links and check out the Dead 4 Mods server! This looks like exactly what I need to figure out how to do this, though I really appreciate the offer to potentially assist with small sticking points. You rock :health:

don't hesitate to ask for help in the dead 4 mods server too, usually they help

i'm not as active in terms of modding so i can't promise you a direct hotline to me just yet, but if it seems like a simple enough endeavour and you're stuck, feel free to add me if you want and i can try to help you out

if i understand what you're asking, you can try following this (in case you haven't yet):

tho i'm not sure what exactly you're trying to do, what gun are you trying to put on which anims or what anims are you trying to put on which gun.
or are you trying to port it to another weapon slot? in that case, try checking this out:

Hi tomaz, could you point me in the right direction for where I can learn to transfer an animation set from one weapon model/mod to another? I've found some guides but several seem outdated or assume Source Engine knowledge.
