It likely could be the game's optimization because the game works decent for me.

Did you install the FFVIIHook Ini and Dev Console Unlocker from Nexus Mods? I read that it didn't work with the current version of the game so you had to rollback the game's version:

I don't know if this will help, but this is what I did. Step 1 forces DX11 so skip it if you want DX12. Also, I never installed the FFVIIHook Ini and Dev Console Unlocker:

1. In Steam Library, right-click the game > Properties > General > Launch Options > type -d3d11 > close the window.

2. From Nexus Mods, download Dynamic Resolution Disabler and extract the download. Go to the FF7 Remake install folder, navigate to End > Content > Paks, and place the ~mods folder into the Paks folder.

Steps 3 and 4 force vertical sync to be enabled and the GPU's power to deliver max output:

3. For Nvidia, open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings. Add the game, select your Nvidia GPU to be the preferred card to run. Then under settings, change Power management mode to Prefer maximum performance and Vertical Sync to On.

4. Open Windows graphics settings > Browse and add the game > click the game and Options > High performance > Save.

5. Launch the game and enable vertical sync. You can adjust the graphics settings as you see fit.

i use controller except competitive first person shooters and games you cannot use controller to work properly. it's more unreal engine + square ports usually, but i'll try maybe another time before part 2. can't now, too much things to do anyway

@ValentDs: I'm sorry it didn't work for you. One of the advantages of consoles is their hardware are identical eliminating some of the problems we PC users face. Also, they're given more TLC and attention by developers and publishers, if you ask me.

Do you prefer keyboard mouse? Look this up on Amazon:

LeadJoy VX2 AimBox Keyboard and Mouse Adapter.

i didn't use ffvii hook because i read it's not working with the last updates too, and i use dx11 in a lot of games (like resident evil 2 3 7) because it's more compatible usually.
i think those steps here are similar or at least i've done those already. it's better than vanilla game, but i have framerate spikes in towns and some areas, it's playable, but nowhere near playstation version. ps4 had 30 fps but run perfect 30 fps without spikes, ps5 version is 60 all the time (i despise the ps5 controller, so i want to play on pc) but maybe i'll retry. we're near part 2, bad controller or other things i'll play the ps5 version of it, hoping the pc version will be better this time
