Share and Download Demos - and Steam://Rungame command

If you would like to share your CS GO demos with friends, or you’re having difficulty with the STEAM Rungame command, check out the following guide.

Sharing your demo

You may ask, why would I want to ever do this? There are a few reasons, to show demos of cheaters to others for input, to make clips for youtube, and to share videos of you owning with friends.

1. Open up Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and click on the tab titled 'Watch'



2. Next, navigate to 'Your Matches'.



3. Find the demo you would like to share - or download. Right click the demo. To download it click download. It will appear in your 'Downloaded' sub-tab under the 'Watch' tab. If you would like to share it click 'Open Scoreboard'.



4. Click the 'Copy' button located at the bottom of the scoreboard. Your demo URL is now temporarily saved to your computers clipboard.



5. You can now click 'Paste' by right clicking or by pressing CTRL + V on your keyboard to share your demo.

To properly view a demo make sure your steam is closed and then click the link, example below.

The command runs steam and downloads the demo to the 'Downloaded' section of your 'Watch' tab. Upon clicking a link you'll browser will ask you if you'd like to launch the application in most circumstances.

6. If you're clicking the link out of a Steam chat it will instantly open CS:GO. The demo will immediately download as in the image below and launch after the download is complete.
