LotR Dol Amroth

Description
Dol Amroth was a feudal principality forming part of the Kingdom of Gondor in the southern reaches of that realm. It was ruled by the Prince of Dol Amroth; the banner of the Silver Swan of Dol Amroth flew alongside that of the White Tree throughout the Third Age.

Incredible fun round I had with this map. While losing practically 80% of the castle the remnants manage to hold and delay the defeat to the turning point. Id call it a failed victory.

Well, thanks - I didnt know that the AI would only attack the stairs from the side :D
Your solution looks really nice :shcscribe:

Proof of concept: https://prnt.sc/ni6xHc2fCXuB

Enemy goes straight for the gatehouse over the bridge.

In essence, the only thing you need to do to protect your bridge is make it owned by a different player, and make it so the enemy can't approach any stairs pieces from the side. If you make the bridge in that way the enemy will always walk over the bridge instead.

In the case of your map I feel like a solution like this would be the best aesthetically: https://prnt.sc/j6K9mdMnQFpQ

This bridge can only be destroyed by the enemy with a siege weapon, but never by unit attacks.

Hey, there is a way you can prevent the enemies from attacking the bridge.

The key is to make it so the enemy doesn't have anywhere to attack the bridge from. Stairs can't be attacked from the point where you begin walking on them.

Look at this bridge for example: https://prnt.sc/0bVB4TdXwX85

The enemy won't attack the bridge because they can't approach it from the sides due to the sea and they will never attempt to destroy the stairs because they can only approach the stairs from the front or by standing on top of the bridge (in both case they are unable to attack)

In the example I sent the enemy will be able to attack the wall part of the bridge, but even if they destroy it they won't be able to render the bridge unwalkable because they will have no way to destroy the stairs.

Furthermore, if you want the bridge to not be destructible by the player (so that the player doesn't just annihilate the bridge to be unapproachable) simply make it owned by a different player.
