Vanilla Compatible Mods

There are many useful mods which will not prevent or lock players and friends from joining your custom game world experience. These tools can be quite helpful ranging from client side additions to server side mods and more. So what if you want to create a custom game world and share or host the world files without issue? You can build like a developer!
Building like a Developer.

If you've ever seen a point of interest in the game or noticed things the player cannot normally build but wanted to do so yourself there's no issue with giving yourself the means to build like a game developer to meet your needs. They have access to a wide array of tools and features that players simply do not and our own build features are quite limited by design. Whether you're a creative artist or wish to create your own dungeons, monsters, and experiences for you, your friends, and other players then you may use some tools to do so!
Vanilla Friendly Tools

In the next section are some tools that I personally use to create custom game worlds. These tools do not add any new items to the game other than what is in the base game files currently and they allow you to take full advantage of the build system like a developer would. You may use these mods to craft your very own game experience to then uninstall these mods and enjoy your world without issue. You may share or host your .db and .fwl world files with these custom made changes or even make and save Blueprints of your custom builds for yourself or others to use!

When all is said and done and you've built your very own custom game world you can simply navigate to C:\Users\Username\AppData\LocalLow\IronGate\Valheim and find your custom .db and .fwl World files in their folder to share or use to host your custom game.
Mod Tools

Below is a list of noteworthy Vanilla Compatible mods that allow you to build like a developer, just be sure to check the store page and get all of the associated mods necessary for them to function such as BepinEx[valheim.thunderstore.io] or others and keep them up to date!

Infinity Hammer[valheim.thunderstore.io]
- Infinity Hammer is a very potent build tool by Jere. It allows you resize objects, copy and paste things in the world, make and save blueprints to share, advanced terraforming, and much much more! It will assuredly give you most of what you need to build like a developer.

World Edit Commands[valheim.thunderstore.io]
- In tandem with Infinity Hammer are the World Edit Commands. Taking things further this will allow you to input some commands to take advantage of the game such as renaming and making custom NPCs, creating your own special commands like an area select tool to give infinite health to objects/creatures, and so much more shown here. More advanced commands will require Structure Tweaks Mod and can be ignored if you wish to keep things vanilla compatible or don't wish to install it on your game server if you're the host.

Gizmo[valheim.thunderstore.io]
- Gizmo is a simple but effective tool for rotating objects and items in the game on their axis. It allows much more creativity with building and world design and makes a great companion to Infinity Hammer.

More Vanilla Build Prefabs[valheim.thunderstore.io]
- MoreVanillaBuildPrefabs alone is a very great addition to your palette. This tool adds all of the nature items such as rocks, trees, plants and more to your build hammer along with others including the Dvergr Base items, Fuling structure pieces, and so much more.

For whatever other things you see and wish to keep that are not included like a wild beehive, a fire geyser, or runestone, castle on a mountain etc. You may simply use Infinity Hammer to select them and save them as a blueprint to use later with the command Hammer_Save followed by a name. Then access them later with Hammer_Blueprint followed by said name used.
