GTA New Player Guide (Updated 2023!)

This guide is for complete beginners or low level players who are new to gta online. There will be few activities listed which will help you earn your first business in the game. Once you understand it you can keep repeating these steps to buy more businesses and pave your way of becoming the king of Los Santos!

Stash House

This will popup on your map everyday. Completing it will give you $30,000 and it will fully stock any one of your motorcycle club businesses. The aim is for you to break into the stash house, eliminate any enemies that are inside, and break open the safe. To open the safe you need to search for a yellow sticky note somewhere inside. No worries if you can't find it! The code will only have 1 of the possible 10 combinations shown in the image below. Collect the contents inside the safe and leave the area.

G's Cache

This pays around $18,000, ammo and snacks on completing them. This can spawn in different places for different players, and can even move location if you change sessions without collecting it. So, here's how to collect it. When you arrive in the area, the marker will be replaced by a gray circle on the map, indicating the nearby region you need to search. Listen out for a beeping sound, which will indicate that you are close to one of the g's cache.

Junk Energy Skydives

The skydives work very similar to the parachute jumps. These pay $5,000 if you get the gold medal, which is not quite hard. There are three challenges you must complete to attain the gold medal; all checkpoints hit, par time beaten, and accurate landing. You can do these 10 times a day (10 x $5,000). They pay an additional $50,000 for completing all 10, and another $50,000 for getting the gold medal in each once of them, totalling $150,000 per day.

Time Trials

Time Trials in gta are a great way to make money for beginners. It will be marked with the icon shown above on the map. They pay around $101,000 - $104,000 (beating the par time). There are two more time trials:
> Junk Energy time trials - This pays around $51,000 - $54,000 (beating the par time). Some people say that to complete this you need to own an Inductor from Pedal and Metal Cycles webiste in-game but that's not true. Just go on the mark and start it, and it will automatically put you in the bike.
> HSW time trials - This is only available on current gen consoles. This pays $250,000 (beating the par time).

Treasure Hunts

A random email is sent to the player from [e-mail], showing a black and white photo of an area to search for a clue to find an unspecified treasure. While these don't take too long to complete, they pay really well actually. $250,000 for just 10-15 minutes of work. Sometimes even $350,000 for some treasure hunts. There are only 20 possible locations you are going to get. Refer this playlist if you have any difficulty in finding the clues.

Visit Casino

Don't forget to spin your podium wheel everyday. It matters for a low level player as you can gain huge amount of cash and RP from it. And, if by any chance you get the podium car, then that would be great. Also, its recommended to collect your visitor bonus everyday too, from the cashier in the casino.

The First Dose Missions

Visit the shown icon on the map to start these. There are 6 missions in the first dose. It will give you $50,000 bonus for completion of each mission for the first time, and an extra $250,000 at the end of completing all the missions. So you will end up with $550,000; easy money in my opinion. In the last mission you will steal a brickade in which you can set up your acid lab (your first business). You would need to pay $750,000 for that, so keep doing the activities mentioned above on loop till you have that much money.

Set Acid Lab

Once you set up the acid lab, you can either call Mutt or talk to him in the acid lab and pay $60,000 or do 4 resupply missions to fully stock your business. Now, as a new player I won't be recommending both for you. Instead, you should do your stash houses because on completing one it will fully restock anyone of your businesses and since you only have 1, it will restock the acid lab. That way you can save both the time and the money.

Fooligan Jobs

You can call Dax from your phone to request for a fooligan job or you can also visit Dax at the freakshop to ask for it. Once you start it, you have to complete a small mission which is really easy to do for low level players. It pays $50,000 for each job completed but comes with a 48 minutes cooldown. On completing 10 of these missions, you can unlock the upgrades for your acid lab which increases the production rate and also the value of the product converted for a given amount of supplies. It is really beneficial and necessary if you want to make huge profit from your businesses.

Apart from the tricky first & last dose missions and some of the fooligan jobs, this guide is very well thought and designed for new players. For the dose missions and fooligan jobs, I might recommend a few friends (If at least one of which has armored Kuruma, things would be even better for new players).
