Where to find your GTA V save file location

Finding your save files is useful for backup, transferring to another computer, modding, troubleshooting, and making cheats or modifications.

Save file location

Launch File Explorer (or the file manager of your choice), and then paste the following into the address bar:

%USERPROFILE%\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles

This will open the directory where the game stores save files associated with your Windows user account.

If you have saved data from multiple Rockstar accounts, you'll find multiple folders within. Looking at the last modification dates can help you in finding the specific account you're searching for.
