How to install mods for Spider-man Remastered

This is a complete comprehensive guide on how to easily install mods for Spider-man Remastered.

Step 1 = Installing SMPC Mod Tool

• Visit NexusMods[www.nexusmods.com] website and create an account. The website requires you to be logged in to download files.
  
  
  
• Then, download the Spider-Man PC (SMPC) mod tool. [www.nexusmods.com] This will allow you to easily merge mod files to the game safely.

Step 2 = Locating asset_archive folder

Obviously, have Spider-Man Remastered installed.

• Locate your installation folder for Spider-Man Remastered in your file explorer. If you kept Steam at the default path, it should be located here:
  
  
• C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered
  
  
• If you don't know how to do this, an easy way is to right click on Spider-Man Remastered in your library, properties, installed files, and then hit browse.
  
  
  
  
  
• When you have located this folder, copy the directory.

MAKE SURE TO CREATE A BACKUP OF THE ASSET_ARCHIVE FOLDER BEFORE CONTINUING

• Open SMPC. At the top of the window, click where it says file, and click "Select Asset Archive Folder". Once clicked, a file explorer window should appear. Paste the file directory that you copied before. Click to open the asset_archive folder, then click save on the bottom right.
  
  
  
• After that, if this is your first time installing SMPC you must follow one more step.
  
  
• On the top of the window of SMPC, click tools, and on the drop down menu hit Convert Asset Archives. This is a one time only step and takes approximately 10-15 minutes to load or sometimes longer. After this step is completely finished, you are ready to install your mods.

Step 3 = Installing Mods

If you have not already, browse mods for Spider-Man Remastered and download whatever. You are going to need WinRar or 7Zip to extract mod downloads if you don't have that already.
