Welcome to my second creation in the 'I want to freebuild but not get bored by it' series.

☙ The Challenge ❧

The premise is straightforward yet intriguing: you are given a semi-open map that offers a subtle challenge. Your starting point is in the middle of the map, where establishing a stable food supply and accessing iron are your primary hurdles. However, the nearby quarries present an opportunity to construct a formidable fortress.
Don't overlook the flooded plains to the south. With a bit of effort, these can be transformed into valuable farmland.

Alternatively, consider settling in the tranquil river valley to the east. Here, you're blessed with abundant plains for farming, but the scarcity of stone makes castle building a challenging endeavor.

☙ Invasions ❧

Prepare for invasions commencing in 1060. Heeding your feedback from previous maps, expect these invasions to escalate quickly in intensity and never relent. Be vigilant and ready!
