Laguna Seca Retro

Description
The famous California road course in Monterey, California USA is represented here with the 1988-2022 layout and surface (before the repaving). Special to this version is the roadside signage which features sponsors from the 1970’s, creating a vintage aesthetic for the track. This is the 3.6 km (2.3 mi) layout.

Originally developed by Andrea1968, Storm Gang Simulation has (with permission and close association) made changes to various trackside objects, sponsors, billboards and other visual elements. Ben Boorman has done the original conversion while Don Fryman has implemented several of the mentioned updates along with correcting and expanding pit road functionality to allow for larger grids.

Enjoy the more immersive, classic experience with historic vehicles, like the Historic Trans Am: Golden Era (on the Workshop), using the Laguna Seca Raceway Retro by Storm Gang Simulation.

Really nice track, I am on a mission for collecting historic tracks. A good one for the collection here.

@BigA$$Ham if it's not showing up, it's possible you have old files that are conflicting. Check to see if you have a previous version installed through the content menu. Or at least see if it's listed there.

I wonder why no one makes Laguna Seca with Turn 10 being banked more steeply like in the 80s.

Me too and worse, the track layout loading screen is of the pre-1985 layout :steamsad::steamhappy:

Was hoping for the pre-85 layout as well, the turn up the hill instead of the Andretti hairpin into the infield was one of the scariest most difficult turns in racing anywhere... wish someone would do that layout, but thanks for this one nonetheless, a lot of work went into it for sure.

dang, got my hopes up for the 1957-85 layout lol, still a great track :D

Love this , thanks . Modern tracks are great but we need historical tracks to match with historic cars , it makes the experience so much more authentic . Great work guys and thanks to Andrea for allowing and participating in the endeavour too .
