Full Insect Species Guide: All Insect & Some Catching Tips

This is a guide for all insect in the game and where and when you can catch them. I've included base prices, and weather, along with some assorted catching tips. I made this because I wanted a steam guide to keep open on my second monitor while I played, but there wasn't one yet.

Intro

This guide includes insect names with pictures, where and when they can be caught, the weather, and the time of day and season it needs to be as well. Here are the specific time slots:
Day (06:00-18:00)
Night (18:00-00:50)

I also wanted to include a few catching tips as well.

• Hold m1 to sneak. This fills the insect's alert indicator slower.
  
• You can still catch most insects once they've alerted to your presence.
  
• You can leave flying and crawling insect traps in the approximate insect spawn locations to easily catch some of the rarer bugs, as well as it being a semi-afk money-maker.
  
• Light Feet (catching skill) is imperative for manually catching the rarer insects.
  
• For the really sensitive insects, like butterflies, pick a path you think they might cross, then slowly approach as they head your way. You can close the gap faster because they are also moving to you, therefore filling up less of their alert indicator.
  
• For insects that need weather that may come around only once or twice a season, you can change the game time speed to 50% for more time in a day.

The insects are in the same order as they appear in your Journal to make it easy to find a specific one you're missing. It's a long list, so use CTRL+F to find the fish you're looking for faster. In the prices section, the first is base price with no quality stars.

I have caught Eastern Black Swallowtail several times on a windy day in the fall (trap at the beach)

Ty for the guide. Do you know where the Giant Village Forest is? Is that actually the village? I haven't seen a single bug there so far o.O

@ameliasafuraa That one can be tough. I recommend waiting for a rainy day in Spring or Summer, and immediately going to the lake to check for spawns, then you can check the other spots. If you don't find any or are unable to catch one, quit out before sleeping to restart the day and try again. And obviously make sure you have the best possible net and also Light Feet.

@Dolosapate The last time I played, Deep Forest still wasn't added to the map, but it's accessible through completing offerings at the altars at the Lake Temple (14 total I believe). The ruins with the stairs in Mid Forest have a path, and there's another path to the left of the Concerned Monkey who sells achievement-unlocked cosmetics to the left of the Cavern entrance as well.
