True Music: Mixtape Megapack

True Music: Mixtape Megapack is designed to be THE definitive True Music experience. When I got True Music, I was so disappointed to find that most addons for it were just single tracks from converted MP3s. What I wanted was something I could put on and listen to while I fixed up my base, drove around the countryside, or have on just in the background without having to constantly swap out singles or categorize hundreds of tapes.

So I decided to stop wishing and start making.

This pack has been updated to work for both B41 and B42! B42 players: please see this discussion for dependencies and known issues using the mod in B42.

Adds over 100 findable mixtapes around the game world.

Each mixtape is approximately 30 minutes in length with multiple tracks. They are basically by genre with a few deepcuts thrown in depending on the tape. This is to replicate how people used to make mixtapes.

There are more than 800 songs included with (mostly) no repeats. Tracklist by mixtape:

Genres include classic rock, alternative, hip hop, country and western, pop and top 40s, disco and dance, motown, hard rock and metal, new wave, grunge, punk and ska, R&B, bluegrass, techno, soft rock, and more.

Everything included was released before July 1993, when the game takes place. This music mod is meant to be lore-friendly and realistic.

These include track start and end sound that sounds like a tape deck for extra realism. The tracks have also been mixed to sound like cassette tapes. (Read: kinda bad, but deliciously analog.)

I've updated the True Music tapes icons to use B42-style icons.
