The Uler

Description
This is a port of Uler Mod to BZCC. Uler Mod includes a new race and a full set of thirteen campaign missions which are also playable as Coop multiplayer as well. Currently instant action and MPI missions are not included but may be added at a future date.

Both single player and multiplayer campaign missions include a difficulty slider which allows for tuning of the mission difficulty which is accessed in the mission launch screen in single player and in map options in multiplayer.

BACKSTORY (You might like it, you might hate it, but it's the one I'm going with):

Almost two years have passed since the ISDF/Scion war. Padasha Burns is still the Scion leader. Both Yelena Shabayev and John Cooke are fully Scion and members of their military. ISDF is under new leadership by the AAN after the death of both Kosei and Braddock. Earth though, is still oblivious to the existence of the ISDF and Scions.

The situation is one of relative peace between the two sides. They have engaged in somewhat of a new "Cold War," therefore hostilities could break out at any time (- and usually do when the two sides meet face to face out in a Battlezone.)

The Scion used their Alchemators to rebuild Core, and are now focusing on further colonisation of the Core star-system. The ISDF controls all Sol system planets but the Dark Planet. This is a contested world because it provides passage from the Sol to Core systems for both the ISDF and Scion. In the Core system the Scion are in firm control of Core and Rend. Mire, while primarily controlled by the Scion, also maintains an ISDF presence, because of their interest in its Earth like properties. Bane is contested by both sides.

For the most part things have been quiet. That is until Skyeye units picked up strange energy anomalies on the largely unexplored planet of Mercury. ISDF command has dispatched a scouting team to investigate these anomalies. Of course that's when all hell breaks lose and the adventure begins....

Some of the missions are completely unbalanced. The Grand Slam is almost impossible to play, it is like a Fleshstorm, just fire with no strategy, unlike the original mod. Yes, the picture is fine, but it is simply not interesting to play. The original Uler mod by Coxxon is my favorite one because it is cleverly balanced. This new one was made by just adding new enemy invasion streams without any planning or testing. I am truly disappionted.

Never had a chance to play the original. I'm enjoying it so far with no problems. Thank you Samuel for posting this to steam. for the love of god would somebody please do forgotten enemies too ?

I subscribed but it dosent show up in the mods dashboard. Tried relaunching the game. No luck. Hmm...

The only negative things i noticed where that the pathing somtimes is bugged, where units get stuck stop moving whatsoever - especially the constructer - and you kind of have to without full refund stop the building process, i think besides that thats my biggest hang up was not beeing able to modify my units in the forge / recycler / factory. But i guess thats just the work in progress. keep up the great work!:steamthis:

I really enjoy this mod! Thx for creating it and bringing it to this platform. I imidiatly tried my hand playing it through. It was set at 105% (does it round up or down regarding the difficulty?) so I just used that - and I have to say the missions are either reasonably hard or borderline impossible (for me at least) wich is nice - I like the challange - but means i did progress in some missions to a stalemate and was only able the beat the mission via the armory and that "9-6" option. I also really apreciated the voice acting btw ;). But all in all i had some long evenings of fun trying to beat those missions and that was pelnty of fun (though i do have the ambition to play some of the missions again because when in a stalemate i didnt wanna grind for hours on end with so little progress that i used the armory trick)

I hope you keep up the great work id be happy if IA would be accessible soon!

I am glad that this mod got ported over to BZCC. I never got to play it way back when but I am thankful to get the chance now.

Yes, in fact each race of Uler, ISDF and Scion has two sets of weapons, vehicles and buildings. One is used for campaign missions and is based around fast gameplay with everything being cheaper with less health, longer range and can cause more damage. The other is a strongly balanced style that conforms to the stock mechanics (40 scrap recycler, slow building) and was used for IA, ST, MPI. I have yet to reconcile which to use for IA, ST and MPI as I find the stock mechanics very plain and not providing the classic Uler feel. Ideally both would be available but is a little tricky to implement
