How to play with MODS after latest update

The mod engine is outdated, AND the game updated two times... gaming time?

Getting the right executable

Bandai Namco updated the game to 1.15.2, and the mod engine works well up to 1.15. I'll tell you how to set this up. Note that you can only play singleplayer afterwards.

1. Go to the game's folder (...\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS III\Game) and locate DarkSoulsIII.exe
2. Rename the game executable to something like DarkSoulsIII_OLD.exe
3. Download the modified patch 1.15 (NOT 1.15.1) executable from here https://wiki.speedsouls.com/darksouls3:Crash_Fix
4. Drag the new executable to the game folder and enjoy!

Notes

In order to play online you need to use the up-to-date patch 1.15.2 executable. However, if you want to use mods, you're in for a challenge.
You would have to use this https://github.com/soulsmods/ModEngine2/releases, but I didn't get to understand how to set it up. Maybe another guide or YouTube video figures it out. Anyways. Seeya!

Then I can't help you. I never managed to set it up using the newest version, since the people that made the ModEngine2 never bothered the update it for the newest DS3.
