The Great Factories

Description
Hidden in the wilds of Kenshi, in the areas that civilised folk don't treat. Places which Okranites hate and fear, and where the Nobles riches have no sway. Remnants of the empires of old, The Great Factories lie hidden from the rest of the world, continuing their prime directive: To build robots.

The Great Factories mod adds three factories, located in remote areas of the map, as well as three starts at each location. At these locations you can recruit, hire and purchase a variety of mercenaries, skeletons and pets to help you achieve your goals in the wasteland.

I've always loved the idea of manufacturing skeletons in Kenshi, but due to engine limitations it's just not possible. This is, to me, the next best thing, being able to purchase them from people who can manufacture them. This mod wasn't built to be particularly balanced, as the Obedience Army can be quite op, but I hope you enjoy none-the-less.

@Blueraguard I can't say I've seen that issue before. They usually sort themselves out in terms of guard spots and pathing.

Finding the Foreman can be a little tricky given how many skeletons there are about, but he should be near the entrance to the factory or near one of the work stations. There is where i'd look to find him.

@Jorahm I honestly didn't think to try to carry him as I've only got like 20 hours or so in the game, so that's on me. But the guards were attempting to cluster in one spot, and that spot would change when I got close to them. They'd just cluster in a different area, full sprinting at the same spot just stuck on each other. The one time I saw the foreman there I managed to get them to push him out of a concrete divider between the factory aisles, and then after i talked to him and saw what I needed to fix him I could never locate him again.

@Blueraguard There had been issues with the upstairs of the factory, but the last update should have fixed it. Might be a different issue to the one I fixed, could you explain it a bit more? What were the NPCs actually doing?

Also as ReD said, you can just pick up and carry the Iron Factory robots out of the place and put them down outside.
Can you just pick it up and drag it down the ramp that way?

The Obedience factory had some issues going on that made a bunch of people go nuts upstairs and I think it messed with the foreman squad. I made it to the Iron Factory and was able to talk to the Iron Boss, where I found the robots weren't skeletons but a little cooler. Bought said robot for all of my money, and it doesn't fit through the hole to go down the ramp. :T

I may add a Driftmetal expansion come to think of it, the two mods would work quite well together.

Driftmetal Remnants? I don't have any patches for the two mods but, as far as I've seen in my own playthroughs, there's no incompatibilities or overlap between the two.

I'm subbing to it now, but i gotta ask, have ye tested it with Remnants at all? If not, i'm about to lol

Glad there wasn't an issue. The pathing in Obedience can be a bit screwy sometimes, especially with mods like Mist Ghouls, but the characters are almost always all there.
