Some time ago, I read about the UK traffic engineers' obsession with roundabout interchanges. Roundabouts are excellent surface street intersections, but the attempt to make roundabout service and system interchanges didn't always go well. The M1/M62 interchange in Leeds (53°43'51.2"N, 1°30'42.6"W) is apparently famous for traffic jams, despite what seems to be a logical design.

This is my attempt to solve the M1/M62 problem (albeit for right-drive traffic). The entrances on the inner loop of the roundabout are unusual, but they seem to work well in-game.

The Mass Transit DLC is required for the two-lane highways. The Node Controller mod is required for clean lane junctions. For heavier traffic loads, I would recommend adding the TM:PE mod. Additional bypass and slip lanes could be added, but I think this is the minimum-footprint design.

Size: 96 x 96 units (768 x 768 m). This includes some approach distance on all sides. The roundabout has a diameter of 32 units (256 m).
