Again?!?!
I think the meme uploaded by Rand ( https://steamcommunity.com/id/GMRand/ ) says it all. If you're like me, all less then 2 percent according to the Global Achievements at the time of me writing this, a update comes along and I got to pick up the controller so I have that nice 100% by my name, again. It's not too hard. I look over what I need to do to get them, grab Imelda, then go get them. Takes a run to knock them out and all good.
But what about the new or a beginning player? The amount of Achievements in Vampire Survivors is a pretty daunting list if someone chooses to start going for them. What about them?
Well, as it just so happens, I know a thing or a dozen about getting Achievements on this game. So I just so happen to have a few tips for you on this particular subject.
Step 1: Persistence
as cliche as that sounds, it's also true. you just got the game, you have nothing but Antonio. so, you have to work with what you got. so take your time. enjoy it. learn the ebb and flow of doing a run. NOT the mechanics. you can work on that later. find what works best for you. and use the timer as a guide. I think I've only seen a handful of people complete a run the first time they played. and you probably won't be one of them. so the timer becomes like a coach as you play. it's there to show you how long you've gone. so use it to help you get better. your first time you lasted three minutes. go again and get past that. this helps you get into the habit of working at it. once you got to the point of getting past twenty minutes regularly, you can move onto the next part.
Step 2: Advancement
'Wait a minute! I thought I was already getting better!" I hear you say.
yes, you are. at playing the game. but you're wanting to go Achievement seeking. and for that you need to Advance a few things along. as you've been playing, you've been picking up gold. and the game shows right at the top of the screen between games how much you've picked up in total. you need a fair amount to get Magnet, Growth, and Greed maxed out and Imelda unlocked. the main reasons why are
Growth
more Growth, 3% per level up to 5, means more XP from gems enemies drop. which means completing builds faster. when a build is finished, you can chose to get food and gold every time you level. and you'll be picking gold.
Greed
as said by Michael Douglas' Gordon Geeko, "Greed is good." more Greed means the more gold you get from any source. you can level it up to 50%, 10% per level.
Magnet
like Greed, it has 5 levels and goes up 10% per level. Magnet serves a dual purpose. the first being a time saver. having more Magnet means less time chasing around XP dropped by enemies further away, as that XP don't do any good if you can't pick it up. it also picks up everything, besides stage passives, that get in Magnet range. remember, you want all the gold you can get when Achievement hunting
Imelda
of all the things to get while hunting Achievements, Imelda is the key to getting Achievements fast. how so? her passive XP bonus and Magic Wand. with her 30% by level 15, she's already sitting at 45% bonus Growth. grab Crown and max its' level out and Imelda's running 95% Growth. as for Magic Wand. it's a good weapon. not the hardest hitting or fastest. but it does let Imelda kill enemies faster cause as it levels, it gains Pierce. and its' evolve passive is Endless Tome, 8% Cooldown per level with 5 levels for a total 40%. combined with Imelda's Growth, she should burn through a build pretty quick to get you to the food/gold pick from leveling while light hunting the stage
unlocking Imelda and maxing out Greed/Growth/Magnet will be your first 16 purchases. you'll be using these to make sure you can unlock more characters to get their weapons added to your arsenal and more stages opened up cause the other stages have better Greed and Luck bonuses for running them
Step 3: The Stage
now that you've got Imelda up and running backed by three maxed out Power-Ups, you need to run a stage.
which stage? Mad Forest at first. then stages with Relics on them, like Dairy Plant. reason why Mad Forrest is it having five passive items on the ground and two hidden characters, Pugnala and Marrabbio. if you're going for Achievements, these two characters are such boosts to a run.
Pugnala cause she's fast, +20% to Movement, and her ever growing Might, 1% per level, and that her guns gain a LOT of Pierce as well as having a potent Evolve for screen wide AOE coverage.
Marrabbio cause he starts with a Evolved weapon, Thousand Edge, and 0 Projectile Speed.
uh oh. I hear a grumbling. 'How's 0 Projectile Speed any good?!?!?!' due to his no Projectile Speed, Marrabbio is the most defensive character in the game at the start of a run. he can just shuffle around leaving a ball of knives, or a wall if you want to move around some, just floating in the air as enemies just run right into them. they bring the XP to him. get Candlelabrador and Attractorb and you got the makings of a good No Move challenge going.
as you unlock more characters, you want to keep coming back to to Imelda, Pugnala, and Marrabbio to run Mad Forrest repeatedly. the amount of passive items on the ground is very good till Yellow Sign is found. till then, get a build going you know is effective at four weapons and use the last two weapon slots to level up weapons that unlock characters at certain levels like Fire Wand and Pentagram
Step 4: Arcanas
as you go for more Achievements, you'll eventually run into your first wall along the way. Arcanas get unlocked when you find the relic The Randommazzo, hidden in Gallo Towwer. it unlocks the Arcana system as well as giving you your first Arcana, Saraband of Healing.
Arcanas fall into two groups. get to level 50 with a certain character, something by this point you should be able to do without too much effort. there's 15 of these.
the other 5 are reach minute 31 on a certain stage or kill The Reaper. these are much more of a issue to deal with. killing The Reaper before getting the Yellow Sign takes a lot of effort even when killing it with low, for The Reaper, HP on a Inlaid Library run using Clerici, as she's the only one that can pull it off reliably. if done, the minute 31 runs aren't needed, as you already met the criteria for them with The Reaper kill.
the last Arcana not using the 50 or kill Reaper/minute 31 conditions is Game Killer. you get this killing The Ender in Capella Magna. it's a fairly tough fight as it has quite the variety of attacks and level scaling HP
Step 5: Relics
as with Arcanas, there's 22 of these as well. and the Achievements tied to them are annoying as it's not that they're hard to get. but they're tied to certain things, like DLC or if you found Yellow Sign or not. so they break down mostly into Before and After Yelow Sign, then DLC.
I normally suggest going for the Relic The Milky Way Map as your first Relic. it will help you find any location based Relics by marking them with a green question mark. and coffins for coffin characters with a white question mark. the only thing stopping you from getting all the location Achievements then is if you got the corresponding DLC. kinda hard to get Mt. Moonspell's map if you don't have the Legacy Of The Moonspell DLC.
non tied Relics, like Mindbender and Ars Gouda can be found once you have their corresponding stage unlocked.
now, the 'After Yellow Sign' Achievements for both Arcanas and Relics are 'suggestions.' certain Achievements are much easier to do after you've gotten the Yellow Sign, like the minute 31 stage specific ones or the kill 100,000 enemies to unlock the Victory Sword. as you need to collect a LOT of Achievements to unlock Queen Sigma then unlock the Victory Sword. and Crimson Shroud and Infinite Corridor can't be obtained unless you have the Yellow Sign.
but when you do get Yellow Sign, getting Achievements become a lot easier
Step 6: Characters
Character Achievements are both some of the easier and more annoying to get. from finding a coffin/object to kill X amount of enemies to level up a weapon to 4/7, most are just plain boring to do AND time consuming. the weapons are the easiest. get said weapon and level it up. helps you out so you can get better with implementing different weapons for your build ideas.
find the coffin/object can be a super pain if you go without the Milky Way Map. as you're just kinda hoping you trip over the thing as you go. if you do have the map, it's just getting to it and collecting it.
kill X amount is the most annoying. as certain characters are unlocked by killing X number of enemies. which means you have to find the sweet spot and go to town while watching your kill counter to get a idea if you hit your target number. which is made worse by the character having a ridiculously high kill amount to unlock, Korchi and his kill 100,000 total enemies comes to mind, or are tied to DLC, like Sammie and Gav'Et-Oni.
Step 7: Hyper Mode
Hyper Mode is another annoying group of Achievements to get that, depending on the stage, you have to reach a certain level (if I remember correctly 99) or beat the minute 25 boss on a stage. and the Hyper stage Achievements are tied to DLC. so no Hyper Abyss Foscari until you pick up the DLC
In conclusion
so, for anyone wanting to do some Achievement seeking, I do wish you the best. there's 196 of them now ranging from "Huh? I got a Achievement?" to "I DON'T EVEN HAVE THAT CHARACTER YET!!!!!"
it's not for everyone. is mostly just bragging rights, to be honest. not like your boss will care you got the Victory Sword, unless they play as well.
BUT.... if you are looking for that little extra bit of challenge to liven things up abit, I'd give getting some Achievements a try.
and it would be nice to see a little more then just 2% of players have got them all. I hope to see that percentage grow as more of you give it a try
Update: AAGGGGGG!!!!!
oh boy.... I forgot to do some updating as there's been a couple more expansions. Whiteout. a smaller one but still had achievements attached to Tides of Foscari. and Emergency Meeting with Space 54.
so here I am to cover those achievements as well. so sorry for updating now instead of when the they came out.
but better late then never....

Whiteout and Space 54:
these two are bonus stages. they should unlock pretty quickly as Whiteout needs finding twenty Orologions and Space 54 is unlocked with five Gold Fingers. getting them should be as easy as starting a run and then quitting out since these are later Achievements to get.

Antidote and Brave Story:
two new Relics. Antidote is found on Whiteout and unlocks the Defang Power-Up. Brave Story is on Space 54 and you can pick it up around minute 18. it lets you turn on Random level pick-up, leaving you at the mercy of the RNG gods.

She-Moon, Robbert, and Space Dude:
given these three are later Achievements, they're fairly easy to get. She-Moon Eeta and Space Dude just need to do a run and last twenty minutes to unlock them on Whiteout and Space 54 respectively. Bat Robbert requires Evolving Pako Battiliar into Mazo Familiar with maxxed Hollow Heart

Glass Fandango, Phas3r, and Pako Battiliar:
these three weapons are a little more powerful then the other weapons, as they require maxxing out both the weapon and its' corresponding Passive. Pako Battiliar is the easiest to get. kill a metric f***ton of bats, 161,616 in total, to add it to the arsenal. Glass Fandango and Phas3r just need to be found, Whiteout and Space 54, then leveled to 7 to add them. Evolving them need maxxed Wings, Glass Fandango, and Empty Tome, Phas3r.

Emergency Meeting:
.... there's twenty in game Achievements for Emergency Meeting. getting these was a slog to say the least. most of the Achievements, after finding Crewmate Dino's coffin, are Evolving the character's weapon to unlock the next character. which is fairly easy if time consuming. at least five runs till the character's weapon is Evolved. you can quit out to try and save some time after Evolving.
the other Achievements are a little more fun to get and mix things up a little. Paranormal Scan just requires getting Lifesign Scan to level 7. Evolving Lifesign Scan unlocks Ghost Gino.
killing one enemy with Gino unlocks Guardian Pina.
get to level 50 with Pina unlocks the Clear Debris weapon, then Evolve it to get Clear Asteroids.
killing 6,000 Suspicious Looking enemies unlocks Horse and his bazillion colors.
killing 10,000 enemies with Impostor Rina unlocks Megalo Impostor Rina. I thought that was 100,000 at first. but it's just 10,000. I quit runs if I don't get 10,000 kills in four to five minutes. which is why I always have Hyper on.
speaking of Hyper, killing the Suspicious Eyes in Polus Replica unlocks Hyper Polus Replica. and just follow the green arrow to get the Polus Replica Map.

like I said before, sorry for being a little late with getting these Achievements added. I spaced it to be honest. I'll try to be on the ball better with the next batch.
