All 27 Golden (Base Game) and 23 Green (HUMBLE DLC) Chest Locations (with screenshots)
Av Lordrangleic och 1 medverkande
A quick guide with pictures to show how to find the 27 golden chests including those up to the Rover update (2024/10/28). I have also added a section including the golden effigy found in a bunker not in a golden chest (located in guide after Chest 18 Cenote). (2024/06/01)

As of 2024/11/07, I have the Humble DLC, and I will add any and all Green chests that I find as I find them in the DLC planet.

I did have to use some information from the wiki: https://planet-crafter.fandom.com/wiki/Planet_Crafter_Wiki

P.S. Infinite portal golden effigies can be found in the procedural wrecks found by using the portal, however, there are only 27 golden effigies in golden chests. Also, effigies take up less space on the trophy shelves than building on any surface.

NOTE: I am using a mix of 2 different save files to get the best screenshots, one normal and one custom as I in my original save; I deconstructed golden chest for their aluminum and super alloy.

Section 1: Base Game Golden Chests
Gold Chests are special chest that can be found throughout the game that contain rare and valuable items, some unique like the gold effigies that cannot be crafted, others are craftable, just late game items that you wouldn't see this early in the game otherwise. Also golden chests can be deconstructed into super alloy and aluminum if you need the resources.
There are 27 golden chests hidden on the base game map.

They look like this:
Map and General Directions
This is the in-game map, and the one I am using to give a rough directions. I assume that the top of the map as displayed on the in-game setting has north at the top of the map.

Section Map updated with Lush Desert area

Full Map updated with Red Falls area

Post 1.0 update map without Red Falls

Here is the old, pre-1.00 map for comparison:

1. Starting Valley Chest
This is the first chest you will likely find exploring just after starting the game.
Facing south from the landing pod, wall towards the rock wall.

It is on top of a small dune next to the south wall.

If you look north at the chest, you can see the landing pod in the background.

Rough Coordinates: 258:27:485
2. Crashed Ship on a Hill Chest
From the landing pod location look to the west and you will see this crashed ship up on a hill.

The golden chest is on top of the ship.

Rough Coordinates: 290:161:1008
3. Central Plateau East Chest
Just north of the landing pod, there is a flat area (plateau) that is good for building an early base. To the east of this plateau, is the aluminum mining area (filled with large, gray rocks).

In between the plateau and the aluminum mining area is a small crevice or creek bed.
In the middle of the crevice, is a set of large, dark rocks (see the one at the bottom of the image).

Under the rock at the bottom of the image, is a golden chest.

Rough Coordinates: 926:17:352
4. Central Plateau West Chest (aka: Iridium Mine)
If instead of going east on the central plateau, go west you will see a large cave in the rock formation. This is a good area to mine iridium later, hence the name.

From this entrance, you want to go all the way to the back of the area, and all the way up, ignore the climbing vines if you are that far.

In the far back corner, you will see the below large, flat, and angled rock near the corner.

Go above and behind this rock, and you will see a small hole with the chest in it.

Rough Coordinates: 831:50:1206
5. Sandfall Ground Chest
The Sandfall area is a later, early game area that either requires having melted enough ice in the iridium caves, or going around the caves and through the sulfur fields (this route requires a high volume air supply to make it back)

Facing the sandfall.

Look to your left (south-east) and you will see this pile of rocks.

The chest is hidden under these rocks.

Rough Coordinates: 469:66:1564
6. Sandfall Upper Chest
Similar to the last chest, this chest is a later one, but I would say even harder to reach as you may need a jetpack to reach this area, either by attempting to just fly up the hill or to quickly go around even further to reach the arches area if you have not yet melted enough ice.

Being atop the sandfall area, facing southwest, you see the arches area.

Turn to your right (north east), and you will see a rock wall atop the sand fall area.

It is over and behind this rock at the top of the sandfall area, there is the second sandfall golden chest.

Rough Coordinates: 708:153:1882
7. Large Canyon Chest
The canyon area can be reached without a problem, if you have good movement tools and decent supplies.

Starting at the more southern entrance below, head northwest along the canyon's northeastern wall.

The rock pillar near the northeastern edge wall as seen below is what you are looking for.

The chest is behind it.

Rough Coordinates: 2152:3:238
8. Labyrinth Pillars (Small canyon)
If from the central plateau, instead of heading west or east, you head north: you will see a part of a crashed ship.

North of that ship, is a maze of tall rock pillars.

Going through the labyrinth of rock pillar, you will come out north and see a wrecked ship on a small, flat rocky area.

If you head to the west of the wrecked ship, and look south you will see the golden chest.

It is behind this piece of beam, in a tucked-away corner.

Rough coordinates: 1479:11:659
9. Aluminum Mining Area Chest
In the center of the aluminum mining area, there is the crashed part of a ship.

Facing north, from this point, head straight out of the aluminum mining area. Once out, turn around immediately (now facing south) and you should see the golden chest underneath a large, gray rock formation.

Rough Coordinates: 1075:24:-28
10. Cracked Spires Chest
Slightly southeast of the aluminum mining area, is the cracked spires area.
Head south through this area.

When you see this large, gray, and opened container go behind it.

Directly behind it is a spire near the corner of this area, not to far from an iced-off cave.

Under that spire is the golden chest.

Rough Coordinates: 406:5:-248
11. Broken Star/Warp Gate Chest
In the north east of the map, near the large canyon area, there is a broken star/warp gate.

Head directly south from the gate, past a few rock formations, to a specific rock formation. Jump on top of it.

You will know that you have the correct rock formation when you see a hole in the middle of the rock, and to your left (west) you will see a large crevice with a large downed satellite (has some decent loot).

Now in the hole of this rock formation is the golden chest.

Rough Coordinates: 925:96:-780
12. Waterfall Chest #1: Rock Overhang Chest
The waterfall area is an area in the south of the map, that has a large rocky mountain with a small cave in it.

Here's what it looks like with waterfalling:

Looking at the rock, turn around to face north/north west and you will see some rocky overhanging structures.

Head northwest until you see one of them sticking into a part of the hill.

Climb on it, and follow the rocky overhang to it edge overlooking the ground to find this chest.

Rough Coordinates: -139:182:789
13a. Waterfall Chest #2: Eastern Cave Chest (OLD LOCATION)
NOTE: After reading the wiki, I have discovered that this chest is still in the game, but the location has changed slightly (it isn't far from this location). I am keeping this old location just for review. New location below in 13b.

Head straight east from the waterfall cave entrance.

Enter this cave. (It will be underwater if you are at lakes development level.

The chest is in the back, behind a rock.

If you have reached the lakes stage, this is what it will look like:

Rough Coordinates: -585:52:95
13b. Waterfall Chest #2: Eastern Cave Chest (NEW LOCATION)
As of the 1.00 update, this chest has moved a little closer to the waterfall.

Facing the waterfall, go to the left (SE)

See the rock formation in the background that you use to get on top of the waterfall, stop short of it, and drop into the water if you are at that stage.

Underwater, you will see a similar archway, go through it.

The chest is behind a rock.

Rough Coordinates: -711:53:286

14. Waterfall Chest #3: Western Ridge Chest
Start facing the waterfall rock, and follow around the western side of the rock.

There will be a large sand dune on its western side.

Standing on top of the dune, there is a ledge-like outcrop.

The chest is under neath this outcrop.

If you reach lakes stage, it will be underwater:

Rough Coordinates: -982:43:676
15. Waterfall Chest #4: Top of the Falls Chest
Facing the waterfall, follow around the east side of the rock.

You will see these broken rocks.

Behind the rock, and up on the side of the waterfall you will see this angled, seemingly stair-like columns. Climb them.

Follow around the waterfall, actually going through it as you head upwards. To find a golden chest at the top of the falls.

Rough Coordinates: -840:285:581
16. Mushroom River Chest
Starting from the meteor field entrance, head down.

You will enter the Mushroom River.

Turn to your left and you will see after walking a little, you will see a wooden structure with a wheel.

It is next to one of the warden altar doors.

The chest is underwater, right next to the wheel.

Rough Coordinates: -428:-53:113
17. Highlands Chest
The highlands are the area in the far west of the map, near the sandy area with the crashed ship, adjacent to the Lost Paradise area entrance. This area is craggy, and uneven. This chest, I think is the hardest one to find since it is so well hidden, and in a remote area.

There is a large set of rocks toppled over each other roughly between the crashed ship and Lost Paradise entrance.

The chest is behind the lower of the 2 flat rocks here.

Here's where it is.

Just go a little further, to see it next to another fallen rock.

This chest will be underwater (probably at the lakes stage):

Rough Coordinates: 1744:0:1996
Chest 17 further location help
Recently, I have been made aware that the highlands area of the game has had some redesigns, and finding the chest maybe difficult due to the changed terrain. I will show you what it looks like now. If you are late in terraformation, this chest is significantly harder to find with all the vegetation and wildlife, it will look like this.

You will see this giant rock in the highlands area (near the crystal caves entrance area) with a river bed to the side of the rock (left side of the previous image)

Between the 2 large, front rocks pictured above is the chest.

It will be underwater at later stages.

Here is what the area looks like without any of that terraformation:

It still has the same rough coordinates,
Rough Coordinates: 1744:0:1996

P.S. Thank you to SJ911 for alerting me to the geography change, so I could update the screenshots.

18. Cenote Chest
The Cenote area is the area directly west of the large meteor crater, above it on the ridge. Opposite of the the meteor crater entrance to the waterfall area.

Early game, this area will be blocked off by a large iceberg.

After some development, it will look like this:

Follow the spiraling path down to the bottom of the small waterfall in this area.

You are supposed to follow the cave through to a new area after diving.
Instead follow the small, offshoot cave.

At the end will be a golden chest ( I currently do not have a screenshot of this chest).

Rough Coordinates: -178:73:1943
MISC: Bunker Golden Effigy Location
Starting at the meteor crater location (in the south-west central area of the map, you will see a large ridge on the southwest portion of the crater area.

Note 1: there is a second ladder closer to the actual crater impact area, that will in later terraformation stages be covered in water, that one is NOT the bunker you are looking for.

Note 2: You will need a deconstruction tool to access the area in this bunker where the effigy is.

On the ridge, is a ladder leading to a bunker.

This is what you will see if you are in the earlier terrafomation stages.

Go down the ladder into a two unit room with another ladder, then go down that second ladder to a lower level.

This second lower level is relatively circular, so just keep walking around in one direction until you see yet another ladder, pictured below, leading down to a further down level.

When you take this ladder, you will end in a small room with a bed and a quasar crystal on a table, connected to another room with a desk.

The effigy is on the desk, you just pick it up like any item.

Rough Coordinates:-635:70:1553
NOTE: Late Game Chest
The Ancient City and Lost Paradise areas are hidden behind warden altars, as seen in an example below. The thing on the left is a warden altar, this requires a certain number of keys (depending on the altar location) to open.

An example of a altar key below (the keys are not found in storage crates, they are found in the world, on other altars):

To access the Lost Paradise, you need to find three keys to enter the area, and another five keys to enter the room in the Lost Paradise where the chests are.

To access the Ancient city area: you just need one key.
19. Ancient City Chest
In a sandy area to the west of the central plateau, beyond the Iridium mine, you will see the below pillared cave entrance, enter this area. (There is a also a large crashed ship in this area)

As you go through the cave, you will find this door and a warden altar, if you have it, place a key on it to open it. (Ignore the mining equipment, different save file)

This cave is linear, follow it.

You will come to an area with 2 buildings and a steeple in the back.

You will see that the left building has an opening, enter the left building.

In the back corner of this room, you will see 2 more openings to 2 different rooms, take the one on the left nearer to the corner of the room.

You will see this:

Behind it is a ramp, go up.

To your right is another ramp, go up again and follow it.

The chest is at the top of this scaffolding.

Rough Coordinates: 659:20:2103
20. & 21. Lost Paradise CHESTS
In the same sandy area with the crashed ship that you found the cave leading to the Ancient City, go to the furthest south of this area in some rocky outcrops, you will see a warden altar. It needs three keys to enter

Follow the linear path to this area.

This main building is where the 2 chests are, the central one with the blue dome.

It needs five keys to enter.

Follow the hallway straight to an open area with gold butterflies and 2 golden chests next to a tablet stand.

Rough Coordinates: 1106:123:2933
REMOVED: Beach Biome Golden Chest Location (Volcanic Update Chest #1) (UPDATED 2024/05/06)
NOTE: If I understand the wiki correctly, this chest no longer spawns on that island, this chest was moved to become golden chest # 23 location on this list

Compared to the golden chest location in the lava biome, this chest is easy to find. I found it just walking around the area.

Start off by looking at the waterfall in the south of the map, and move your crosshair so that you are facing roughly the direction of the small moon in the sky in the picture. Walk relatively straight to the West of the waterfall.

You will pass a small barren area just keep going, you will reach another beach and see a large island just off the beach.

The chest is on this island on the other side right across from a smaller island, just out in the open.

Rough coordinates: -1357:84:1339

P.S. Thank you to Steve for letting me know that this chest no longer appears on the beach island.

22. Lava Zone Golden Chest Location (Volcanic Update Chest #2)
This one is a bit harder to find especially since it is in an area with a large amount of damaging lava.

NOTE: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REACH THIS CHEST WITHOUT A JETPACK.

To start find the large wreck pictured below.

Do a 180, and you will see a path

Follow that path until you see a ladder to a abandoned bunker on your right.

Instead of going right to the bunker, turn left to see an arch with flowing lava.

At that arch you will see 2 flowing lava channels to your right, and a cave to your left surrounded by cooled lava, enter the cave.

Upon entering the cave, you will see more flowing lava, and a lower entrance to a another part of the cave.

Enter the next section of the cave and you will see in the forward distance, a normal blue chest.

But instead of going forward, look down and to the left, and you will see another semi-cooled lava step.

Try not land on the semi-cooled lava, but right behind it is the golden chest.

Rough coordinates:-1056:66:-131
23. Southwest Area (Waterfall Grove) (1.00 Update Chest #1)
Starting from the island where you find the golden chest on said island.

Face north-northwest from the island's western side.

You should be facing the area south-southwest of the crater on the map.

Go towards the waterfall to the farther on the left in the previous picture.

Below the very lowest area of the water fall is a small underwater cave. You will see seaweed in front of the cave.

The chest is behind a rock behind the seaweed.

NOTE: I have NOT checked this area yet without water, so I don't know what it would be like without that.

Rough coordinates: -1069:67:1927
24. Rainbow Caves (Northwest Area) (1.00 Update Chest #2)
The Rainbow caves are in the northwestern part of the map, beyond the large crashed ship scene on this map, bottom-center:

Keep going northwest until you find another area with waterfalls and rivers. You will find cave entrances that look like this:

There are individual caves of difference colored, mine-able rocks. There is a pink, blue, orange, and green caves. You want to find either the orange or blue. (I will show you the location coming FROM blue TO orange caves.)

This is what the blue caves look like, as blue has the appearance of an oasis in cave:

In the blue cave, there is a a set of ramps, the one on the right leading outside the caves, and the one on the left, leading up and to the orange cave. Take the left ramp up towards the orange cave.

When you see actual rainbow reflection on the walls near the ramp, stop!

You should see large orange crystals in the background in the orange cave. DO NOT go forwards towards the orange cave.

Instead, turn to your right, and see a small alcove.

Jump on the rocks to find the last golden chest, hidden behind a small rock.

Rough Coordinates: 2116:35:1843

P.S. Thank you to Blastaz for letting me know about the golden chests added with the 1.00 update

How to access the Red Falls area for the chest #25
First, the Red Falls area is near the broken warp gate in the northeast area of the map. There is a cave behind the warp gate, to its northeast.

You will see a cave with sand falling.

Inside the cave there are rocks that need to be cleared with explosives.

The explosives needed to breach the wall of rocks IS NOT THE TYPE YOU USE to end the game, it is a blueprint recipe that is crafted in the bio lab after unlocking it with any generic blueprint chip. It requires 2 explosive powder and 1 circuit board. The explosive is used as an inventory item, but after using it in your inventory, you have set it by activating its timer for it to explode.
25. Red Falls chest
In the second big room in the Red Falls area, there is this ship stuck on some trees.

If you look past it the way it is facing you will see a rock arch leading up a hill.

Follow the hill upward and you will come to this part of a ship on a small island in the upper part of the Red Falls.

Turn to your left, facing west, to see a huge red waterfall.

Dive in the water and keep swimming and you will see an area of dirt wall surrounded by rock wall.

Slightly behind the rock wall is the golden chest.

Rough coordinates: 2458:126:-601
26. Lush Desert Chest
The Lush Desert area is directly east on the map, slightly north east of the lava zone behind the gray desert area, southeast of the warp gate desert area. It is a sparse rocky area.

In the south of this area is a large pond near a hand/finger area on the map.

Head towards the western-most "finger" rock, facing east towards this rock.

At this finger's base, there are plants, and you should see fallen obelisks and bricks, the chest is out in the open.

Rough Coordinates: -660:64:-1248

27. Toxxxic Cave Chest
There are 2 ways to find this chest in the cave, I'll show you both from different starting points.

Way 1: From the Lava Zone

Starting at the crashed ship head east and slightly north.

You will see a cave in the rock in the distance.

Go inside.

Upon entering, you will see you are in a large, green cave with large pillar rocks that look like uranium (do not touch, you will take damage)

From here, keep going until you see you are on a ledge, looking down and seeing a large pool of green liquid, with rock coming out of it.

See the small island in this toxxxic pond, the chest is on it surrounded by 2 pillar rocks.

Way 2: From the Lush Desert "hand and fingers" rock

Starting from the Lush Desert golden chest, head east past the other "finger" rocks.

You will see a cave in the rock with a giant pillar near the entrance, go in there.

Head straight until you see a derelict transport vessel, like the one in the aluminum mining area, but with large cargo vaults behind it. (Inside there is a message on the computer, not important, but I like to collect the lore)

When you find it, head north west and generally upwards. You will see the same toxxxic pond, to confirm, you will also see broken down lights near the pond edge.

It is on the island in the pond.

Rough coordinates:-1038:44:-1267

Congratulations!!! You have all 27 golden chest!!!

P.S. Thank you to Vlash for letting me know about this chest, and by extension the Rover update chests in general.

Section 2: Humble DLC Green Chests
Green Chests are the Humble DLC equivalent to golden chests in the base game, they are just green with white accents, containing similar rare and valuable loot based on the Humble DLC item pool.

They look like this:

Since the DLC is relatively new and I only recently purchased it (within the last week, 11/2024) and I want to explore the game without looking at the wiki; I will just update as I go. Names and directions will be updated, but for now I am just using my names and descriptions for the areas.
Humble Maps
For my purposes, north is the top of the map and south is the bottom of the map.

North Half of the map:

South Half of the map:

1. Starting Valley Broken Base Area Chest
If you start the DLC with the standard landing location you will be in a forest off concrete cylinder pillars. If you walk in the direction that really is the only way that isn't off or into a cliff (roughly north/straight forward), you will see a broken down base like area filled with equipment and hangars.

I don't have a compass yet, so directions are difficult, but on a stage you will see a green sphere attached to equipment (there is a microchip in the sphere that you can decrypt) beyond it and in front of a hill leading to the ice caves you will see large rock formation in the background.

Here is it during the day, with compass.

Head to that formation, and go around to the side of it opposite the base site.

On that side you will see a green chest on the rock formation's ledge.

Rough coordinates: 453:153:31

2. Northern area Chest
In the most northern area of the map, there will be lots of medium rocks protruding from the ground, and at later terraformation levels, trees growing by themselves. This area is hard to navigate with trees, so I advise finding this chest early when there are not trees.

The chest is where the arrow in the above map is located. You will be a little north of a down trade rocket seen below.

The rock is the one that the pointer is hovering over in the above picture. To further help you find the rocket, you will notice a nearby downed tread robot

The chest is just behind the rock

Rough Coordinates: 2326:265:-1101
3. Sulfur Lakes ridge chest
Starting at the sulfur lakes, facing south.
(I am at tree stage in these shots, I think you will need a jet pack to jump the bigger gaps)

Look to your right and you will see a sulfur lake with a path leading to a cave.

Swim in side the cave, at the bottom there will be a robot with a chest, swim upwards.

You will see 2 large storage crates with decent loot.

Exit the cave and see a path, keep following it.

You will come out on a cliff overlooking the sulfur lakes.

You will have to jump/jet pack between ledges.

The chest is on the final ledge near a regular chest.

Rrough Coordinates: 263:333:-692
4. Beach waterfall chest
This chest is easy to find, but requires a certain terraformation level before finding it (I think it is breathable atmosphere).

After you reach the required terraformation level, the huge dust storm in the lower / southern portion of the map will clear away and eventually there will be waterfall coming off the ledge at the lowest point, draining into the beach area.

{Notice at the top of the previous picture, you see the cylinder pillars of the landing area of your original pod if you chose the default starting location, for reference}

The chest is just behind the waterfall on a large ridge.

Rough Coordinates: -348:-101:251

P.S.

Thank you to Iwm, for alerting me to this chest.

5. Plateau Ship Chest
This chest is atop the giant ship on the large hill near the large crystal structures in an area where you see many osmium crystals growing on the ground, twinkling a bright blue (can be harvested).

Best using a jetpack to get onto the top of the ship, but you will see it when you get there.

NOTE: I built my base on the edge of the plateau, so just ignore it.

Rough Coordinates:1564:364:875
6. Star Rocks cave Chest
This chest is in the southeast portion of the playable area of the map. In the area of giant rock formation that look like stars, it is in a cave. This area will be covered in a sand storm like the meteor crater area in the base game, until a certain terraformation level. It can be entered before that, but is difficult to navigate, especially with low tier equipment.

Credit to Leo (contributor) for finding this chest and and the linked photos.

Seen here in an earlier terraformation level:

https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/17549172644292726/A8D1CDD10FC9497CC3ADE5F0587B19995FE1F86D/

Notice that there is a decently large island near the star rocks with a broken down rocket platform. See below, I will use this as a starting point.

Seen form that island, turn to the east and see the entrance to the cave, head in that direction.

Go left around the pillar near the entrance, towards the lagoon on the back left.

You will see a crevice, below a ridge. You will notice that above you (top of the screenshot) on a ridge is an abandoned lab.

Turn to your left, and see the chest in a small alcove.

Rough Coordinates:-1266:-102:-989

7. Stone pillar chest
If you choose the default starting area on your Humble save, this chest is in the area, the area with the stone pillar.

Unfortunately, due to being on top of the pillars, this really is obtainable later in the game with better gear like a jetpack.

Starting at the pod landing site, look north-northeast (compass tick mark half way between N and E) of there towards a cliff to your right.

It is on top of one of the half height pillars near the cliff face. (The pillar I put the pointer on in the previous screenshot). Walk towards it, and using the jet pack fly up it.

Here is the pillar top relative to the cliff face.

The chest is on top.

Rough Coordinates:-9:215:-2

8. Central Waterfall Quarry Chest
At the start of a new save, this chest is under sand and requires more terraformation, which will gradually reduce the sand, and eventually with water create a waterfall.
Once the area has cleared, starting at the base on the far end on a cliff at the top of the quarry, head towards the waterfall.

Go down a few quarry layers until you are about half way to the bottom.

At a certain point of terraformation, you will see this big branch leading up in the waterfall, just keep goin forward. You can see the chest in the waterfall in the next picture.

Drop down to that ledge.

It is in the waterfall.

Rough Coordinates:879:65:215
9. Osmium Mining Area Chest
This chest is in an area that requires enough ice to melt, as it is hidden behind ice walls.
Starting at the main broken down base where Humble chest 1 starts, head in the opposite direction of that chest.

On your right, at later terraformation levels you will see giant zeolite structures to your right, instead head to the left towards an arch, and head left again through another arch.

You will end up in an area that is good for mining osmium later in the game.

You will see a set of broken down robots in the middle of the area, keep going.

You will see this triangular entrance to a cave, DON'T go in the cave.

The chest is near the protruding rock off to the left of the cave entrance.

In a little cove hidden next to it.

Rough Coordinates: 20:157:931

P.S. Thank you to Mamaelf for alerting me to this chest.

10. Zeolite Crystal Area Chest
This chest requires terraformation levels since at the beginning it is covered in sand, and all you will see is a down rocket and rocks. Once you get far enough, in this area there will be large zeolite crystal chunks, when the sand receeds. (P.S. later this is a good area to mine zeolite)

Starting from the entrance of the area, look to your right (east) and you will see a large hole in the ground near a wall.

Directly north of this hole in the ground, there is a zeolite crystal chunk near the wall.

You will see a downed robot in front of another hole in the ground.

The chest is in this second hole, at the bottom.

Rough Coordinates: 885:164:486

P.S. Thank you to Mamaelf for alerting me to this chest.

11. Uranium Cave Chest
Early on in the game, this area will be covered in ice and there will be quite a bit of uranium you can mine from the ground. I think this chest is under the ice, so you have to get to a level of terraformation high enough for that before you can find it.

Start in area of the map shown below, north of the osmium mining area.

Head north/forward into a small cave.

Beyond this cave is the area early game that is a bigger cave with a frozen pond in the center that would be blocked by some ice in early game..

Turn to your left, and you will see a large pillar in the middle of the room.

Where the cursor is in the next photo is where you roughly want to go, jump/jet onto the rocks.

It will be near a darker rock in the wall.

Rough coordinates: 343:201:911
12. Frozen Tunnel Caves Chest
Starting from the first area where your pod crashes by default, to the west of your pod is an icy cave (another chest that is hidden behind ice and required terraformation before being able to access).

Entering the cave there are three exits: one directly to your right (not it), one directly cross the water (not it), and a hidden tunnel entrance above the previous exit up a ramp of rocks.

Go up this ramp.

You know you have the right exit, as there will be three blue chest that are NOT in water, but ice.

Follow the tunnel until you have to turn, choose the right tunnel.

You will have another choice, take the right tunnel again and enter a small cave with another exit and a small pond.

Head into the pond.

In the back of it is a small crevice. Follow it.

13. Osmium Crystal Field Chest
This chest can be found in any terraformation level, in the open, in the area with the huge blue, osmium crystals growing, in the northwest corner of the planet map.

It is behind a crystal structure, the one that the crosshairs is over, near the back of the area. Where the player-indicating arrow on the map is.

If you hit the wall, just turn around and you should see it behind the structure.

Rough Coordinates: 2196:186:121
14. Ship Lake Chest
In the eastern part of the map, near the lava zone, there is a landed ship on top of some flat rocks that in the later game fills with water.

Facing the ship, turn around and to your left.

You will see the forest area in the background, plus some large jutting rocks.

Notice the almost horizontal flat rock directly in front of you, you are facing the right direction.

Go forward and into the water.

You will see a small pile of rocks.

The chest is in the rock pile.

Rough coordinates: 979:151:-1270
15. South of Ship Lake Cave Chest
Starting form the previous chest, look southwest.

There is a small cave entrance entrance, head there

Once you enter, take a left turn to a small nook in the rock.

Hidden behind it is the next chest

Rough Coordinates: 725:224:-695
Bonus Section!!!! (Spoilers Ahead)
This game isn't realistic, as ice doesn't float on water in this game!!!

I just found another Green Humble Chest at 22:157:933. It's where all the ice was at the beginning near the start area.

There is a golden chest in the very dark cave all the way south east. The area has a green/yellow-ish tint, with a lake very far below where you enter. You can enter from the desert or from the lava area. It's directly east from the crashed ship in the lava area.

Firstly great guide, Thank-you for your effort with the pictures especially on the lava zone chest. You may want to check #17 again. I think the area has changed the picture views, but the location is still fine. (that is what got me too the chest)
