Quick Intro
NOTE: This is a Windows 7 tutorial, it may vary for Mac, Linux and other versions of Windows.

No, you didn't read the title wrong, it is possible to change your text in TF2 to be comic sans or any other font for that matter (I'll talk about this more later). Here are some pictures showing what it should end up looking like after we are finished:

Download a custom hud
For this particular tutorial we are going to download a custom hud, e.v.e. hud in this case because it is only a slight modification from the default hud and is used by many people.

e.v.e. hud download link:
https://code.google.com/p/eve-tf2hud/

There should be instructions to install but we will require the eve hud folder to be inside the
"steamapps\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom" folder, if there is not a custom folder then create one.

If you have any troubles with this step, consult the almighty google.
Downloading Notepad ++
It is recommended to use Notepad ++ for this step, however regular notepad will also work. Notepad ++ is just used for your life to be easier.

Notepad ++ download link:
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/download/v6.6.8.html

And that's all the downloading we need to do, remember if you have any queeries google is your best friend.
Actually starting
Now we are finally starting, locate to your "steamapps\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom" directory, in there should be the eve hud folder now.

Inside we want to click onto the "resource" folder. Finally we right-click the "clientscheme.res" file and "Edit with Notepad ++". On your keyboard, press "Ctrl + F" to open up the Find menu, then click on the replace tab.

Be careful here because it will not work if this step is done incorrectly, you will need to find and replace the following things (make sure them is spelt correctly). Keep in mind to replace in this order as well or it may not work.

* Find "TF2 Build" and replace with "Comic Sans MS Bold"
* Find "TF2 Professor" and replace with "Comic Sans MS"
* Find "TF2 Secondary" and replace with "Comic Sans MS"
* Find "TF2" and replace with "Comic Sans MS"
* Find "Arial Black" and replace with "Comic Sans MS Bold"
* Find "Arial" and replace with "Comic Sans MS"
* Find "Verdana" and replace with "Comic Sans MS"

Ok, so save and we should be good when we open up TF2 again.
Finishing Notes
Here are a few things you should keep in mind,

* There are a few more fonts to replace but this should be everything besides things such as the console.
* You can do the same with any other font in the "Fonts" folder (just search it on your windows search bar).
* To do this with custom fonts, just download them and put them in the "Fonts" folder.
* Comic Sans is the best font
