HOW TO GET - Unique MAXTAC Mantis Blades

Very short guide on how to acquire the unique Maxtac mantis blades + original character reference from 2013 Teaser trailer for Cyberpunk 2077

Where and How

Go to the clothing store you see here, it's locating in the CITY CENTER, and it's on the upper left side. The nearest travel dataterm is in the screenshot.
Go to the clothing store and speak to the shop clerk, he is called Zane. Say/do anything buy some clothing if you want to. Then leave, wait a 2-3 in-game days and you should see a quest marker show up in where the clothing vendor icon was.


Go inside and speak once again to Zane, say anything it doesn't matter. After the conversation you should be attacked by a Cyberpsycho Deal with it how you so please, you can just run around and wait for help to show up if you're low level or weak.

Once the chap has been dealt with. Continue with the quest, once it ends. KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR MELISSA RORY!


She is the MaxTac officer who has the unique mantis blades on her and she drops them. If you can't take your weapons out, quickly walk outside and walk back in again DONT LEAVE THE AREA ENTIRELY. Then you should be able to attack her. Quickly kill her and loot the mantis blades. WARNING: YOU WILL HAVE MAXIMUM WANTED LEVEL and MORE MAXTAC WILL SHOW UP

Melissa Rory Backstory

Originally Melissa Rory was a Cyberpsycho apprehended by MaxTac.

She is the woman seen in this trailer, the name of the job is BULLETS and the song that plays in the teaser trailer is also called BULLETS. So this job is a direct reference to her.


You can find this message about Melissa during the quest "THE HUNT" when looking through one of the NCPD computers.

You guys are doing it the hard way. After walking outside the store and going back in, stand right behind Melissa Rory and quicksave in case you fail some time. At this point you can just choke her out with no attacking. Her body will hit the floor and if you can look quick enough you can see and pick up the blades. After picking up the blades AIR DASH out of the building, have a map target for the nearest store and double jump/air dash to that location ASAP. The stores should lose your 5* heat.

Alternately to entering a store (clothing, medicine, food, junk), many rooftop areas will elude the chase as well. Maxtac are very good at finding you even on a lot of roofs, but some places they just can't find you. A spot out of line of sight to surrounding roadways is mostly needed.

If you aren't playing with double jump and air dash, you are definitely playing the game the hard way. Good luck.

Hey Maka, You need the Phantom Liberty DLC to acquire these mantis blades! Unfortunately without it you cannot obtain it.

No need to kill her though... She'll drop them even if you make a non-lethal take down...
I really didn't want to kill a police woman unprovoked... Just cut her arms off, I guess... well, they're implants... she'll get new ones... Max Tac's got good insurance!

You still need to run though! :D
I memory-wiped three of the 4 guys in the store to buy me some time and prepped a bike in front to the right... you can climb something, but an easier way to get rid of the 5 star mayhem is jumping into the river... so go right and straight to the river... good luck!

Noob tip:
Get yourself the Hellhound (that big truck with rockets and hmg)
In the store, look up. You will find a small walk over you wich you can reach with a big jump.
Good spot to take out one by one without getting overwhelmed.

After killing Melissa and taking a deep breath...
Jump down, get the blades, leave the store as fast as you can, call your Hellhound and gtfo!
After keeping some distance, search for something to climb up. Wait till the stars disappear...
And, most importantly, change your underwear after this fucking hellride.
