The Hidden: I.R.I.S Edition

Description
The Hidden: I.R.I.S Edition is a fan recreation of The Hidden: Source by Digitally Occult (Magenta Iris).

- I.R.I.S EDITION -
• Play as the I.R.I.S Units and take down Subjects to win.
• Play as Subject 617 or the new Subject 395 and mutilate I.R.I.S Units to win. (395 can be disabled by a server host)
• Utilise powerful but limited Squad Gadgets to get the upper hand as I.R.I.S. (This option can be disabled by a server host)
• With enough players, The Subject count will increase to 2 or even 3, Team up with another subject to take down the huge squad of I.R.I.S Units. (Value for Double/Triple Subjects is changeable by server host)
• Return to form by disabling 395 and Squad Gadgets to enable Legacy Mode and play I.R.I.S Edition more like the original The Hidden: Source.
• Select 2 Players and tick the Local Server option while selecting hdn_tutorial to play the Tutorial, or select a normal hdn_ map to learn a map and try out the controls by yourself.
• No Mounted Games Required.

- DIGITALLY OCCULT DISCORD -
The Digitally Occult Discord has other projects to try out like Temporal Assassin[temporalassassinwiki.miraheze.org], a single player fast paced "Total Conversion" shooter.

This Gamemode is available as a non-workshop version. It includes txt files for the games contents of credits alongside some extra little features like Steam Rich Presence and the Menu disabling the Mouse Pointer so the cursor visuals look less jank.

This game mode is a fan remake of The Hidden: Source and is in no way affiliated with the original Development Team behind The Hidden: Source.

This game mode was created by a small team of nerds who loved the original The Hidden: Source game and wanted to remake it with possibly more subjects, weapons, tools and maps for content.

I.R.I.S Edition attempts to build upon the original The Hidden: Source game play while also attempting to bring more in-depth game feel, movement and better networking.

Infinitum Research and its intellectual property belong to the original The Hidden: Source developers along with any content (Models/Maps/Textures/Audio/Etc.) that is also used in this Fan Project, any changes or additions to Infinitum Research in I.R.I.S Edition are made in an attempt to remain faithful to the original, but are still however fan made and should not be seen as official.

It is recommended to play the game mode on a Dedicated Server/Connection or a Listen Server (Not using Peer 2 Peer)

For server owners, the gamemode load name is "thehiddenirisedition"

If you are experiencing issues, Please make sure that your Legacy Addons are clean and that all of the other workshop addons that can possibly mess with I.R.I.S Edition such as addons that run no matter what game mode you are playing are also Disabled.

Yeah it's really weird it worked for one guy only after he installed it from the workshop AND restarted gmod

@cd0m That may very likely be workshop being aids like it always has been. No one's ever had Asset problems as long as they have the workshop mod downloaded, installed and activated (Ticked in-game) before joining a server or hosting one.

@Magenta nah, its something else ShowLocationBoxes was off, must be some conflict I have with other addons, I'll investigate myself, thanks!

@Will Likely some kinda conflict? Unless you have Developer variables turned on for some reason. Wireframe green boxes are Location Volumes, You should check if GAME_DEV_ShowLocationBoxes is 0 or 1, if its 1 just set it to 0.

I can see the cameras (and some other interactives) as green boxes, almost like wireframes, is this an issue with the mod or just a conflicting addon on my part?

@ImLikeCat This is a problem that some people seem to have for some reason.

No one understands or knows why it happens, I've done a ton of testing and I can't pin point why it's happening either.

In the settings there is nothing, unnecessary mods are turned off
