Advanced Medical Beds

Description
Do you want to heal really fast in a comfy looking bed?
Well now you can!

This mod adds two beds to the game both unlocked after researching Advanced Medicine.
-Advanced Medical Bed with Medi-Blanket (meant for humanoid races)
Build Cost: 1 Building Material, 6 Fabrics, 3 Advanced First Aid Kits
Heal Rate: 3200%
-Advanced Medical Sleeping Pillow (some animals will have animations on this pillow, but humanoids can use it too if you like sleeping on the ground)
Build Cost: 6 Fabrics, 3 Advanced First Aid Kits
Heal Rate: 3200%

Essentially this mod was made to bridge the gap between the mod "Medical Beds" (which adds a 1600% and a 2400% heal rate bed) and the mod "Auto-Doc" (which adds a 4000% heal rate bed). My bed fits exactly in the center, 800% higher than the 2400% bed and 800% lower than the Auto-Doc.

You can find "Medical Beds" by cimoyama at the link below:

You can find "Auto-Doc" by Azazellz at the link below:

The bed can only be entered from one direction because the blanket and pillow require the animation to only face one way (otherwise your feet will be on the pillow instead).

The pillow uses a different animation (the one from sleeping bags) which allows some animals to sleep peacefully rather than just rag-dolling onto the beds. See screenshot for an example of a Garru sleeping peacefully.

This mod ADDS the items to the game and the only vanilla change was adding the building unlocks to a vanilla research tree. Since it only adds the unlocks, it should be compatible with other mods.

P.S. Animals still need to be picked up and placed in the beds. This is hard coded into the game and there is no way to change it.

If you enjoy my mod, feel free to hit that 👍

I have Forgotten Buildings hard installed, rather than through Steam Workshop, so it was pulling the correct file for me even on a clean save. Thanks for posting your logs! I'm glad to fix my mistakes. Sorry for all the trouble!

@Phatomean Whoops, I had an accidental reliance on Forgotten Buildings. It is fixed now, you may have to unsubscribe/resubscribe to get it to update though.

Hi, sorry for the ate reply just have time to replicate error again.

Apparently according to the crash log, it seems like the bed just try pulling resources from mesh that doesn't exist, here is my log
23:15:06: Mesh: Loading 2PN8Blanket.mesh.
23:15:06: D3D11 : Loading 2D Texture, image name : '2PN8WhiteBed.dds' with 255 mip map levels
23:15:06: D3D11 : Loading 2D Texture, image name : '2PN8WhiteBed.dds' with 12 mip map levels
23:15:06: Mesh: Loading old_bed2.mesh.
23:15:06: OGRE EXCEPTION(6:FileNotFoundException): Cannot locate resource old_bed2.mesh in resource group Autodetect or any other group. in ResourceGroupManager::openResource at ..\..\OgreMain\src\OgreResourceGroupManager.cpp (line 757)
It seems like the mesh doesn't exist and trying was null so it crashes. Anything ring a bell, please?

@Phantomean The logs are in the main Kenshi folder, wherever you installed it. If it's crashing when building, I'm not sure what's causing it. You can ignore the other bed mods, that would not cause a conflict, they are separate building items. Do you have a mod that edits the building screen wire-frames? I would test just my mod alone on a clean save and if it still crashes, then it's something wrong with the way the Kenshi or the mod was installed. You can try verifying your game's files and unsubscribing/resubscribing to see if that helps.

@2PercentNate It crash when I try building it, like click at the building panel to place it but the game just freze and straight up crash immediately. WHere can I find all the logs you mentioned, please? And sorry for a late reply.

@Phantomean Is it crashing when you use the bed or when you build the bed? You can try check the havok.log, kenshi.log and kenshi_info.log files, they'll tell you what the game was trying to do or load when the crash happens. Just a guess, if it's crashing when you use the bed, it's crashing trying to load the sleep animation. This mod uses the vanilla sleep animation, but perhaps a custom race is screwing it up? Not sure what would cause it to crash on building though...

Advanced Medical Bed with Medi-Blanket crashes the game. I'm not sure what happened but I use only 3 bed mods which is this, Medical Beds, and Auto-Doc. Never had any issues before until recently, any suggestions on how to see log and identify problem myself, please?

Yes yes, but it was getting quite stale and nonsensical lying in bed for a few seconds and having no real way to improve it, this gives much needed natural progression without removing the regular shitty beds, it's just perfect, you did a fantastic job.

@7th of Impulse Glad I could help! Also, there is nothing wrong with cheating! Don't let those elitists tell you otherwise! Kenshi is a single player game, not some sorta competitive multiplayer game where cheating affects other people. It is meant to be played for fun, so whatever way you want to play it, you should do so!
