"So Many Ducks" DLC Achievement Guide

Easiest way to unlock the 4 new achievements in Placid Plastic Duck Simulator

Set Up

Step 1:
Start by loading up a fresh game with only the “So Many Ducks” DLC enabled. The map does not matter for the 4 new DLC Achievements.

Step 2:
Wait until all the ducks are unlocked.

You will need these 8 to trigger the achievements

"Project BFD"

If you have idled long enough you will have likely obtained “Project BFD” as it only requires the 3 ducks to be dropped. Once the ducks collide the big jelly will appear and the achievement will unlock.

"Play the game"

To obtain the “Play the game” achievement you will have to wait until the thief duck collides with the piggy bank duck and steals a coin. The thief duck then must collide with the arcade duck to insert the coin. After interacting with the arcade duck you will prompted to play the game and the achievement will unlock.

Arcade duck for reference:

"It's mining crypto!"

To obtain the “It's mining crypto!” achievement you must interact with the golden crypto duck. Once you do so the duck will begin mining, as indicated by the "Mining Cryptocurrency" bar in the bottom left. Once this reaches 100% the achievement will unlock.

"Annoying parrot"

To obtain the “Annoying parrot” achievement you must interact with the parrot duck until you have heard all of the phrases. The parrot duck knows 4 base phrases and learns up to 12. The achievement is obtained by having at least 80 minutes (1 hour 20 minutes) pass once the parrot duck has appeared, then interacting (left click) with the parrot duck to play out the 12 phrases.

Edit: It looks like this achievement requires periodic quacking throughout the 80 minutes. If you are having trouble try coming back every 10 minutes or so, quacking the parrot duck, quacking the other ducks, wait another 10 minutes and repeat. This achievement can be tedious but will unlock eventually - patience is key!

Can the parrot one be done in multiplayer?

I believe that is specific to one of the easter eggs/secrets. No achievement involved with actually playing the arcade duck game.

After winning the arcade duck a number appears "1214" for me. Is there a follow up to this?

The strategy below helped me finally get it on the 5th after I commented haha. Definitely keep just going through the ducks and then to the parrot!

it may require periodic quacking throughout the 80 minutes. Try coming back every 10 minutes or so, quacking the parrot duck, quacking the other ducks, wait another 10 minutes and repeat. That was my strategy and it unlocked eventually. This one is super tedious so patience is key!

yes, afk off. You must focus on the one crypto duck from 1-100%.

do you have your cinematic camera (afk) off because i just did the achievement and i have that off because after so long the camera will move to a new duck and ihad at least 3 ducks spawn before it got to 100% mined.

Fun fact, if the crypto duck doesnt get to 100% by the time another one spawns in, it resets the first one. Just got home after 8+ hours of leaving game on to THREE crypto ducks and no achievement.
