Introduction
Avatars are always constantly popping up. It's basically the lifeline of this game. However, with a somewhat recent resurgence of Monster Hunter Avatars featuring monsters from MHW:I or MHR:S. One such avatar is none other than KingPilot's Crimson Glow Valstrax. I will show you how you can avoid and survive your encounter should you run into this Monster on a server. (Warning: This guide applies to PC Users ONLY. Quest Users be thankful, for you do not have to worry about the Star of Despair...)
What is Crimson Glow Valstrax?
Introduced in an update for Monster Hunter Rise, a variant to a monster called "Valstrax" was added. Crimson Glow Valstrax is known as a Sky Comet Elder Dragon. Valstrax are known for their impressive speed and dangerous abilities, using the dangerous Dragon Element. CG Valstrax is a variant in which it's overloaded itself with Dragon Element, causing it to lose its mind. This in turn makes it very dangerous as even flying into the area has shown it to fire dragon energy from its wings, causing widespread destruction.
How to Avoid Fighting Crimson Glow Valstrax
A CG Valstrax is provoked when fighting. refrain from using weaponry near or against it as that may aggravate it. It will also aggravate on sight.
Crimson Glow Valstrax's Modes
CG Valstrax has two distinct modes, each making it more dangerous. If it puffs out its chest and white lines begin to form around it, it is intaking air. This is called "Crimson Wings". This tends to make certain moves more deadly. However, Valstrax also has an Enraged state. If thruster-like quills form at the back of its head, it's a sign that it is enraged. This adds more to a variety of moves, making them harder to dodge. Deal enough damage to knock CG Valstrax out of its Crimson Wings charge-up and out of its enraged state.
Crimson Glow Valstrax's Moves
Normal Mode

Bite: Standard Bite attack. Comes out fast at any mode, so move to the side or get out the the bite range.

Swipe: Standard Swipe attack. Comes out at a moderate rate, but unlike the Bite, it has a short range. It shouldn't be too hard to dodge.

Decending Slam: CG Valstrax's side attack. Only hits to the right of it. It uses its wing to slam down anything beside it. It has a small windup, giving you a change to dodge.

Thruster Boost Short: CG Valstrax uses its thrusters to propel itself forward a small bit. Has a small windup, but large range. Best to dodge by backing away.

Javelin Spear: In Normal/Crimson Wings, CG Valstrax extends its wing forward to stab like a spear. Has a small windup and small range. Best to dodge to the side. In Enraged, CG Valstrax will thrust its wing forward, then spins around in a full circle with its wing slashing the area. AOE. Back away before it spins.

Sweeping Beam: CG Valstrax launches a huge beam of Dragon Energy from right to left in a cone shape. Has a small windup, but a large range. Best to stay to the side or back of it.

Lunge: Simple Lunge attack. Lunges itself forward to attack. Comes out moderate. Dodge to the side.

Bite Combo: Bites forward twice. Comes out fast. Best to dodge to the side.

Flying Javelin: In Normal/Crimson Wings, CG Valstrax flies to the right and stabs to the left in front of where it took off. Best not be far. In Enraged, it slams down its wing after stabbing. Same tactic. Don't be in range. If you are far, dodge to the side.

Swipe Combo: Slams its paw forward, then slams its wing forward. Comes out moderate. Same tactic as Bite Combo. Can redirect the second attack.

Rocket Dash: Longer and Faster than Thruster Boost Short. Has a small windup. Best to dodge to the side. (Note: Due to how this avatar works, it returns to its original position before the attack started.)

Swooping Thruster: Flies to the right and shoots out clouds of Dragon Energy. Moderate range.

Around the World: If it flies off, you are not safe. Around the World is its Ambush attack. In this, CG Valstrax will half circle around the area in the air at supersonic speed high up, before looping around and crashing down with extreme force. The best tactic is to be far away when it flies off, giving you enough time to dodge the oncoming attack.

Crimson Beam: An attack in which extreme amounts of Dragon Energy in a beam-like fashion is propelled forward, then tilted up. In enraged, it fires a short burst after at any angle. Dodge away from its front to avoid the beam.

Cannon Mode:

Cannon Blast: Fires out clouds of Dragon Energy forward. Moderate range. Dodge to the back.

Side Blast: Blasts Dragon Energy underneath it. Don't be nearby. (Ironic, I know.)

Cannon Burst: Bursts out Dragon Energy in front of it. Small Area. Stay away from the front.

Overhead Blast: Fires out clouds of Dragon Energy above it, with the clouds falling in an arc. AOE. Stay away from it.

Swipe: Slashes its wing in front of itself in a claw-like fashion. Covers the entire front of the monster.

Hover Slam: In Normal/Enraged, Flies up and slams down, and hops back. In Crimson Wings, Slams down and moves in a half circle to the left. Stay to the right. Can direct its attack while hovering. (Note: Due to how this avatar works, it returns to its original position before the attack started.)

Swipe Combo: Slams its paw forward and then its wing in a hand-like fashion. Stay to the side.

Cannon Flip: Runs forward, jumps, and fires a blast of Dragon Energy at the ground mid-flip. Stay away from the front. (Note: Due to how this avatar works, it returns to its original position before the attack started.)

Hover Blast: Flies up, lands, then blasts Dragon Energy in front of it. Can direct its attack while hovering. Stay away from the front.

Hover Cannons: Flies up, then fires clouds of Dragon Energy down. Moderate range. Can direct its attack while hovering. Stay nearby it.
Tactics and Conclusion
It has a hard time hitting from behind, so stay behind it to avoid most of its attacks. You cannot knock it over or flinch it mid-attack, or even kill it. (That more so has to do with how the avatar was programmed. It will generally do these things after the attack if enough damage is done.) Note that you deal more damage to it if you catch it sleeping. If in battle long enough and sustained in enough damage, it will fly away very fast. Fret not, it's still in the server, just elsewhere. It also cannot fit into buildings, but may shoot a Crimson Beam into the doorway it you aren't careful enough.

Now you know how to avoid, dodge, and defeat CG Valstrax! Happy Hunting, VRChat Users!
