CSRG 1915 ChauChat Swep

Description
This is the Swep of the Chauchat made for the French army in 1915 during the conflict of World War 1. It was created as a standerized Light Machine gun for Troops to carry battlefield, which showed little action due to it's low quality and poor designed. It was later given to the United States when they joined the war, however it showed little action as well since most soldiers found it more useful as a pole than a firearm.

In the Swep Version, the weapon is a fixed coated slide of metal that runs off the M9K Base. The weapon itself has a very slow firing rate, and the Capacity of the weapon is only 30 rounds.

**Disclaimers**
I want to give thanks, and credit to these people. Without them, the creation of this weapon wouldn't even exsist.

General Scales: Linking the model paths.
HarryTurn: Creating the Model.
WW1 Source Team: Moddeling the bullets and textures for them.
M9K: Base and View Element

I take credit for the textures and coding the weapon. I know that they are not the best they will ever be, but I'm not a texture person either. So if you want to make better textures for it, have at it.

Please let me know if you have any questions, or comments below, as well as problems with the Swep. I will reply to them and try to tweak it to the best of my ability. Thank you for subscribing, enjoy, and have a nice day.

Hello, quick question why are the bullets in the magazine untextured? (black and purple squares)

The Chauchat has a terrible reputation it doesn't really deserve. The versions produced in 8mm Lebel weren't great, but they worked. Their main problem was using aluminum were it shouldn't have been used, and the magazines were of poor construction. Versions in 7.92 Mauser were actually fairly good, seeing service into the 1930's. It gets its terrible reputation from the .30-06 Springfield variant for the US military. They were poorly rebarreled versions of the 8mm Lebel done by a company called Gladiator. These terrible rebarrelings combined with WW1 conditions led to US troops giving it its poor reputation. If Gladiator didn't do such a terrible job rebarreling them and the two easy to fix issues been resolved, these guns would have probably gone down as one of the better automatic rifles (This is not a light machine gun) of WW1.
